Questions & Answers

As answered by people managing Wavind and Hypervector.

What makes your product unique?

Wavind's answer

Wavind turns raw weather data into personal, actionable recommendations for wind and wave sports. It combines worldwide spot discovery, in-depth spot guides, side-by-side forecast models, sport-specific 0โ€“100 session scoring, AI forecast insights, trip planning, and session tracking in one app.

Who are some of the biggest customers of your product?

Wavind's answer

Wavind is currently in active beta and serves individual riders; it does not yet publicly disclose named customer references.

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

Wavind's answer

Wavind replaces the need to juggle separate forecast, map, spot-guide, and session-tracking tools. Unlike general weather apps, it evaluates conditions according to the riderโ€™s sport and preferences, highlights the best session windows, compares multiple forecast models, and helps plan complete trips. Its core features are available on a generous free plan.

How would you describe the primary audience of your product?

Wavind's answer

Wavind is designed for kitesurfers, windsurfers, wing foilers, surfers, and snowkiters. Its primary audience is recreational and experienced riders who regularly compare several weather sources and want a faster answer to two practical questions: where should I ride, and when will the conditions be best?

What's the story behind your product?

Wavind's answer

Wavind was founded by Mateusz Szymaล„ski, a rider who regularly spends time on the water around the world. It grew from a familiar problem: planning a session meant switching between forecast tables, wind maps, spot guides, and personal notes, then interpreting all the raw data manually. Wavind was created as one intelligent companion that helps riders discover a spot, understand the conditions, plan the session, and record what actually happened.
