The European Accessibility Act now applies to e-commerce and digital services across the EU, and roughly 95% of websites have detectable WCAG failures. AccessRadar finds those risks in seconds, explains each one in plain language with the exact fix, and monitors continuously so problems don't quietly creep back. Agencies run it white-label to resell branded accessibility audits and monitoring to their clients. Unlike "overlay" widgets โ€” which don't fix underlying code and have drawn FTC action โ€” AccessRadar is honest about what automated scanning can and can't catch (~30โ€“40% of WCAG) and never claims to make you "compliant." Scan, report, monitor.

Questions & Answers

As answered by people managing Wave and AccessRadar.

What makes your product unique?

AccessRadar's answer:

AccessRadar is built on radical honesty. Unlike accessibility "overlay" widgets โ€” which claim to make a site compliant and have drawn FTC action โ€” it never injects code or fakes a badge. It scans your real HTML against WCAG 2.1 AA / EN 301 549 (the European Accessibility Act standard), is upfront that automated testing only covers ~30โ€“40% of WCAG, and flags the rest for human review instead of pretending a tool can do everything. You get a clear risk score, plain-language fixes, and continuous monitoring.

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

AccessRadar's answer:

Three reasons. (1) Honesty โ€” no overlays, no fake "compliant" badges, just an accurate read on your risk and exactly how to fix it. (2) EU focus โ€” built around the European Accessibility Act and EN 301 549, with country-by-country enforcement context rather than generic messaging. (3) Built for agencies โ€” white-label reports let agencies resell branded accessibility audits and monitoring as their own service. It's also fast and self-serve: a free scan in about 20 seconds, nothing installed, nothing changed on your site.

How would you describe the primary audience of your product?

AccessRadar's answer:

Two main audiences. First, web agencies and freelancers who want to offer accessibility audits and monitoring to clients under their own brand. Second, EU-facing businesses โ€” especially e-commerce and digital services โ€” that now fall under the European Accessibility Act and need to find, fix, and monitor their accessibility risks. In short, anyone responsible for an EU-facing website who needs an honest read on their WCAG/EAA exposure.

What's the story behind your product?

AccessRadar's answer:

AccessRadar was created in 2026, just as the European Accessibility Act became enforceable across the EU. The market was full of "accessibility overlay" widgets promising instant compliance โ€” but they don't fix the underlying code, disability communities dislike them, and the FTC fined one vendor $1M for deceptive claims. AccessRadar was built as the honest alternative: a tool that tells you the truth about your accessibility risk, what an automated scan can and can't catch, and exactly how to fix it โ€” then keeps watch so problems don't creep back.

Which are the primary technologies used for building your product?

AccessRadar's answer:

AccessRadar is built on Node.js and Express, with a static HTML/CSS analysis engine using Cheerio to evaluate pages against WCAG success criteria. It's containerized with Docker and deployed on Railway, with Stripe handling subscriptions. The engine is deliberately server-side โ€” it reads your page's real HTML rather than running an overlay in the browser.
