Questions & Answers

As answered by people managing Wave and AccessGuard.

What's the story behind your product?

AccessGuard's answer:

I'd leave this one for you to answer personally - it's more authentic coming from the founder. Something about why you started building it.

Which are the primary technologies used for building your product?

AccessGuard's answer:

uby on Rails, PostgreSQL, headless Chrome for JavaScript rendering, and Anthropic's Claude AI for generating fix suggestions.

What makes your product unique?

AccessGuard's answer:

AccessGuard combines automated WCAG scanning with AI-powered fix suggestions. Instead of just listing issues, it tells you exactly how to fix each one with code-level guidance

How would you describe the primary audience of your product?

AccessGuard's answer:

Small to mid-size businesses, web developers, and agencies who need to make their websites WCAG compliant - especially those concerned about ADA lawsuit risk but who don't have a dedicated accessibility team.

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

AccessGuard's answer:

Most accessibility tools either give you a list of problems with no fixes (WAVE) or cost thousands per year (Siteimprove). AccessGuard gives you both the scan and AI-generated fix suggestions at a fraction of the price, with a free tier to get started.

Who are some of the biggest customers of your product?

AccessGuard's answer:

Skip this one if you don't have notable customers yet - better to leave it blank than make something up.
