React Native features and specs

  • Cross-platform development
React Native allows developers to write code once and use it to build applications for both iOS and Android platforms, significantly reducing development time and effort.
  • Performance
React Native uses native components under the hood, providing better performance compared to hybrid technologies like Cordova or Ionic.
  • Community support
React Native has a large and active community, which means plenty of libraries, tools, and support are available to help developers solve problems and add features.
  • Hot reloading
React Native supports hot reloading, enabling developers to see the results of the latest change instantly without losing the application's state.
  • Reusable components
Developers can use React Native's component-based architecture to create reusable UI components, making code more modular and easier to maintain.
  • Strong backing
Backed by Facebook, React Native benefits from continuous development, regular updates, and a high level of reliability and stability.

Possible disadvantages of React Native

  • Complexity for advanced features
Implementing complex features and achieving deep integrations with native APIs may require more effort and a good understanding of native programming.
  • Performance limitations
While React Native performs well for most use cases, it may still fall short in performance-intensive applications compared to fully native solutions.
  • Limited third-party libraries
Some third-party libraries might not be available for React Native, or they may lack features compared to their native counterparts.
  • Platform-specific code
Despite being cross-platform, certain features might still require platform-specific code, increasing the complexity when developing for both iOS and Android.
  • Potential for outdated documentation
As React Native evolves quickly, some documentation or tutorials might become outdated, leading to confusion and extra effort to find up-to-date information.
  • Size of the application
React Native applications tend to have larger file sizes compared to their native counterparts due to the inclusion of the JavaScript runtime and other dependencies.

Walls.io is a flexible, enterprise-ready social wall platform that helps brands collect, moderate, and display social media content and direct user submissions in real timeโ€”across websites, events, apps, intranets, and digital signage.

What truly sets Walls.io apart is its combination of ease of use, deep moderation control, and privacy-first design. With features like Direct Posts (no social account required), GDPR-friendly moderation workflows, and broad integrations (event platforms, CMSs, digital signage tools), Walls.io works just as well for public campaigns as it does for internal communications and regulated industries.

Walls.io Reviews

  1. We use this social media aggregator at all our public and private events

We lately used it at a job fair and it was a huge draw. We also use it on an ongoing basis to show our social media presence quickly without having to pull up the individual platforms. All in all, I found it the quickest way to present what I wanted to a variety of audiences. It's a great social media engagement tool.

๐Ÿ‘ Pros:    The look is very slick, dynamic and clean. it is simple to set up. it can be adjusted regularly to vary the theme and add variety. it allows our employees and others who are not on social media to experience our organization's social media presence.|Their moderation options are more advanced compared to other tools i tried.|Our users loved the real time content updates. this is also something i haven't found for the same price in the other tools i tested.|Great customer service.
๐Ÿ‘Ž Cons:    We just loved it, no cons. we plan to use walls.io for future events as well.
  2. We can engage our students, instructors and staff from multiple locations.

I like that we can curate content using both a hashtag and a social feed. Being able to combine content from more than one place keeps content fresh, and use of a hashtag makes posting easy for end-users.

๐Ÿ‘ Pros:    It has very advanced moderation features. this was one of the main reasons we chose it.|The content updates almost in real time and that's magical during events.|The support team goes out of their way trying to help.
๐Ÿ‘Ž Cons:    It would be great to be able to easily add extra walls to the entry plan.
