As answered by people managing VS Code and Tokkoo.app.
Tokkoo.app's answer:
There are many Point of Sale applications available today. Some focus on large businesses, some require monthly subscriptions, and many depend heavily on internet connectivity.
Tokkoo was built with a different goal: provide a simple, reliable, offline-first POS experience that merchants can start using immediately.
For many every kind of businesses, Tokkoo aims to be one of the best offline POS solutions available because it prioritizes simplicity, speed, and independence from cloud services.
Tokkoo.app's answer:
Business owner and growing business. Even mature business can use Tokkoo
Tokkoo.app's answer:
Android App using modern library. Uses fast and reliable DB on device library
Tokkoo.app's answer:
Modern, Clean, Easy to use, Start from free with generous features from the start, Cheap to unlock full access
Tokkoo.app's answer:
I built Tokkoo because I watched my mom struggle with this exact problem at her restaurant. She was using a traditional cash register, and honestly, it was expensive, outdated, and a nightmare every time she hired someone new. New staff would take days just to learn how to ring up an order.
That frustration is what started this. I realized: an Android tablet + Tokkoo + a thermal printer actually costs less than buying a single traditional cash register and it's faster to learn, easier to manage stock, and gives you actual sales data instead of a drawer full of receipts.
Tokkoo is built specifically for small businesses like warung and toko kelontong here in Indonesia. Offline-first, so it works even with spotty internet, which is the reality for a lot of small shop owners.
