We built this app to make it incredibly easy for anyone to create eye catching visuals by adding text behind objects something that used to require Photoshop or design skills.
Unlike other tools that rely on templates or complex layers, this app focuses on automating the text behind subject effect in seconds with no learning curve.
Thing that makes me most proud is how it empowers users to create viral, professional-looking content instantly no design background needed.

Text Behind PictureText Behind Picture's answer:
Itโs the only tool 100% focused on solving one very specific problem putting text behind objects in pictures, fast. No bloated features, no overcomplicated design suites just a dead simple way to make eye catching thumbnails, posts or graphics that look pro in seconds.
Text Behind Picture's answer:
Because most people donโt want to spend hours learning Photoshop or wrestling with Canva layers, or figuring out hacks in Photopea. With Text Behind Pictur you upload your image, type your text and boom it looks like it was edited by a pro designer. Quick, clean and frustration free.
Text Behind Picture's answer:
Content creators. Especially YouTubers making thumbnails, social media managers, indie creators and anyone who wants their posts to stand out without needing to hire a designer. Beginners love it because itโs easy. Pros love it because it saves time.
Text Behind Picture's answer:
It started out of pure frustration. As a photography and skateboarding lover I was making thumbnails and realized that something as โsmallโ as placing text behind an object was way harder than it needed to be. Tools like Photoshop could do it but they felt like using a spaceship to fry an egg. So I built something lightweight and laser focused, just to make this one design trick accessible to anyone.
Text Behind Picture's answer:
NextJS for the frontend, TailwindCSS for styling and a lightweight backend to handle image processing. The goal was speed and simplicity so creators spend less time waiting and more time creating.
Text Behind Picture's answer:
Independent YouTubers working on growing their channels Social media managers for small businesses Designers who need quick mockups without opening Photoshop Students running side projects or personal brands Indie creators and newsletter writers who want better visuals without hiring help

The step up from there is an editor with a built-in agent like Cursor, Google Antigravity, Windsurf, or VS Code with a coding extension. These are code editors with an AI agent living inside them, and the difference is the responsible party for getting things from place to place. Instead of the software creator shuttling code between windows, the AI agent edits the project files directly and runs the GitHub and... - Source: dev.to / 18 days ago
For IDE-heavy teams, BYOK (bring your own key) can be interesting, no matter whether you live in WebStorm or VS Code. On the JetBrains side, the JetBrains AI plans and Junie BYOK docs allow it, and most VS Code AI extensions offer the same idea: keep the IDE, connect provider keys, pay the provider. - Source: dev.to / about 1 month ago
Option 1: Raw editing in IDE. You open the .md file in VS Code or whatever you use. Syntax highlighting shows you the structure. Maybe you toggle a preview pane. This works for quick edits but becomes painful for anything involving tables, diagrams, or complex formatting. - Source: dev.to / about 1 month ago
You'll need Python 3.8+ and pip for the quickstart, with venv recommended for isolation. Install the requests library for HTTP calls. VS Code with the Python extension works well as an editor, though PyCharm or Sublime Text work equally well. You'll also need a free Foxit developer account. - Source: dev.to / about 1 month ago
