While Visual Studio Code supports OpenType features for its code editor well, configuring those features can be complex as it relies on understanding related CSS syntax. On top of this, additional configuration may be required. Because of this purpose, we have introduced an official MonoLisa extension for VS Code (Open VSX). Depending on the version you have installed, it guides you in configuration. On top of... - Source: dev.to / 8 days ago

The step up from there is an editor with a built-in agent like Cursor, Google Antigravity, Windsurf, or VS Code with a coding extension. These are code editors with an AI agent living inside them, and the difference is the responsible party for getting things from place to place. For IDE-heavy teams, BYOK (bring your own key) can be interesting, no matter whether you live in WebStorm or VS Code. On the JetBrains side, the JetBrains AI plans and Junie BYOK docs allow it, and most VS Code AI extensions offer the same idea: keep the IDE, connect provider keys, pay the provider. - Source: dev.to / 3 months ago

If the former, one solution from the company I work for (stedi.com) is to grab these files off of an SFTP that your partner hosts, or one that you host on Stedi. Then you can paste those files into our EDI Inspector (stedi.com/edi/inspector) which will render the EDI in a nicer format so you / your team can grab the relevant data for manual submission. I use notepad++ now, which isn't as good, but I did just discover stedi.com that someone else recommended and I think it's saved my life. lol Best part is that it's free! Source: almost 4 years ago
We (at stedi.com) created a GitHub repo called awesome-EDI that lists some available tooling, and specifically parsers. Feel free to take a look and let us know if we missed any that you come across! Source: about 4 years ago
