What's the story behind your product?

Relic.space's answer:

Relic started with a familiar annoyance: you copy something important, and a week later it is gone, so you end up emailing yourself things or digging through chat history. The clipboard turns out to be some of the most sensitive data you produce, so Relic was built local-first and end-to-end encrypted from the start, then grew from a Windows app into apps for all five platforms, a web vault, and a CLI. The whole product was open sourced in August 2026.

What makes your product unique?

Relic.space's answer:

Most clipboard managers keep a rolling history that quietly expires. Relic treats your clipboard as a permanent, searchable vault: everything you copy is kept until you delete it, encrypted end to end, and searchable by meaning as well as by exact text. OCR runs on-device so even text inside screenshots is findable. It is open source, works on Windows, macOS, Linux, Android, and iPhone, and you can sync through Relic's hosted service or your own self-hosted server.

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

Relic.space's answer:

Most alternatives are single-platform: Paste and Maccy are Mac only, Ditto is Windows only. Relic covers all five major platforms with one encrypted vault. Sync is optional and end-to-end encrypted, so the server never sees plaintext, and the whole product is open source under AGPL-3.0, so you can audit it or run the server yourself. If you stop paying, your data still lives locally on your machines.

How would you describe the primary audience of your product?

Relic.space's answer:

Developers and power users first: people who copy commands, snippets, keys, and links all day and keep losing them. More broadly, anyone who emails themselves things from one device to open on another, and privacy-conscious people who will not put their clipboard in a cloud they cannot verify.

Which are the primary technologies used for building your product?

Relic.space's answer:

The apps are Flutter and Dart. The on-device AI engine (search embeddings, OCR, image tagging) is Rust with ONNX Runtime. Local storage is SQLite. The sync backend runs on Cloudflare Workers in TypeScript, with the same server available self-hosted on Node. Encryption uses XChaCha20-Poly1305 with Argon2id key derivation.
