FishPal's answer:
FishPal is more than a digital fishing logโitโs an AI-powered fishing companion. FishPal's answer:
FishPal is built for recreational and sport anglers of all experience levels who want to get more out of every fishing trip. Whether youโre just starting out or have years of experience, FishPal helps you record catches, understand patterns, and improve your success on the water.
Our primary audience includes:
FishPal is ideal for anglers who see fishing as more than a hobby. Itโs for people who want to learn from every trip, discover patterns that lead to more successful catches, and build a complete digital record of their fishing adventures.
FishPal's answer:
FishPal was born from a simple frustration: after every fishing trip, I found myself trying to remember where I caught a fish, what lure I used, what the weather was like, and why that day had been so successful. Existing fishing apps either required too much manual input or felt outdated and lacked the tools modern anglers actually need.
As both a passionate angler and an iOS developer, I decided to build the app I always wished existed.
The vision was simple: make fishing technology effortless. Instead of spending time filling out forms, you should be able to take a photo of your catch and let AI handle the rest. From there, FishPal evolved into much more than a catch logโadding intelligent fishing analytics, custom fishing spots, premium depth charts, and Fish Fight tracking with Apple Watch to help anglers learn from every outing and relive their best moments.
Today, FishPalโs mission is to help anglers spend less time logging data and more time fishing, while giving them powerful insights that improve every trip to the water.
FishPal's answer:
FishPal is built using a modern, cloud-based technology stack designed for performance, scalability, and privacy.
FishPal is designed with an offline-first architecture, allowing anglers to continue using key features even when theyโre on remote lakes or offshore without a reliable internet connection. When connectivity returns, data is securely synchronized with the cloud.
By combining native Apple technologies with AI and modern cloud services, FishPal delivers a fast, reliable, and intelligent fishing experience while keeping your data secure and accessible across your devices.
FishPal's answer:
FishPal is currently focused on serving individual anglers rather than enterprise customers, so we donโt have large corporate customers to highlight.
Our growing user base includes:
As FishPal continues to grow, weโre actively exploring partnerships with fishing clubs, guides, tournaments, tackle brands, and other organizations within the fishing industry. However, our primary focus remains building the best possible experience for anglers around the world.

The step up from there is an editor with a built-in agent like Cursor, Google Antigravity, Windsurf, or VS Code with a coding extension. These are code editors with an AI agent living inside them, and the difference is the responsible party for getting things from place to place. Instead of the software creator shuttling code between windows, the AI agent edits the project files directly and runs the GitHub and... - Source: dev.to / about 1 month ago
For IDE-heavy teams, BYOK (bring your own key) can be interesting, no matter whether you live in WebStorm or VS Code. On the JetBrains side, the JetBrains AI plans and Junie BYOK docs allow it, and most VS Code AI extensions offer the same idea: keep the IDE, connect provider keys, pay the provider. - Source: dev.to / about 2 months ago
Option 1: Raw editing in IDE. You open the .md file in VS Code or whatever you use. Syntax highlighting shows you the structure. Maybe you toggle a preview pane. This works for quick edits but becomes painful for anything involving tables, diagrams, or complex formatting. - Source: dev.to / about 2 months ago
You'll need Python 3.8+ and pip for the quickstart, with venv recommended for isolation. Install the requests library for HTTP calls. VS Code with the Python extension works well as an editor, though PyCharm or Sublime Text work equally well. You'll also need a free Foxit developer account. - Source: dev.to / 2 months ago
