Find Right Plugin is a free, quiz-based recommendation tool that replaces static "best plugin" listicles with a personalized shortlist. Instead of scrolling through the same 10 plugins reshuffled across dozens of blog posts, you answer a few quick questions about your specific problem and role and get 2โ€“3 plugins genuinely matched to your situation.

Two tracks are currently live:

1.WordPress Plugin Finder โ€” covers 9 categories (page building, forms, SEO, speed/caching, security, backup, analytics, email list growth, and membership/courses), matching across 66 curated plugins based on your pain point and your role (blogger, agency, ecommerce store, course creator, nonprofit, etc.)

2.Jira/Atlassian Plugin Finder โ€” the original quiz, matched to your team's specific Jira Software, Service Management, or Work Management pain points

No sign-up is required to use either quiz. Recommendations are based on a weighted rubric (ratings, active installs, update recency, WP version compatibility, support, and more) rather than which vendor pays the highest commission โ€” free tools are recommended over paid ones wherever they're honestly the better fit, and this is stated plainly on results pages. The site also publishes in-depth plugin review pages and head-to-head comparison pages (e.g. WP Rocket vs LiteSpeed Cache) for popular WordPress plugins like Rank Math, WPForms, Wordfence, UpdraftPlus, and MemberPress. The site earns revenue through affiliate links (disclosed on every relevant page), but plugin selection and ranking are never influenced by affiliate relationships โ€” several top picks in each category are completely free tools with no affiliate program at all

Questions & Answers

As answered by people managing VS Code and Find Right Plugin.

What makes your product unique?

Find Right Plugin's answer:

  • Matches you to a plugin using an actual quiz โ€” your specific pain point and role โ€” instead of a static "best plugin" listicle
  • Recommends genuinely free tools ahead of paid ones whenever they're the honest, better fit, not just whichever pays the highest commission
  • Covers both WordPress and Jira/Atlassian plugin ecosystems under one tool
  • Publishes in-depth, individually researched review and comparison pages, not just quiz results
  • Every affiliate relationship is disclosed openly on the page where the link appears

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

Find Right Plugin's answer:

  • No sign-up or account required to get a personalized shortlist
  • Results are filtered by your specific problem first, then by your role, not just category-wide
  • Free alternatives are shown honestly, even when a paid affiliate plugin is also an option
  • Vendor changes (renames, acquisitions, discontinued plugins) are actively tracked and corrected, not left stale
  • Independent, single-person project without investor or vendor pressure on rankings

How would you describe the primary audience of your product?

Find Right Plugin's answer:

  • WordPress site owners deciding between plugins without a developer to consult
  • Bloggers and content creators
  • Small and local business owners
  • Agencies and freelancers managing multiple client sites
  • Online store owners running WooCommerce
  • Course creators and coaches selling content
  • Nonprofits and membership communities

What's the story behind your product?

Find Right Plugin's answer:

  • Started as a Jira and Atlassian Marketplace plugin quiz, built by a certified agile practitioner tired of generic "top 10" plugin roundups
  • Expanded into a second WordPress plugin quiz once the same matching approach proved useful outside the Jira ecosystem
  • Built and maintained solo, with every plugin recommendation checked against real signals like ratings, install counts, and update recency
  • Grown page by page โ€” quiz first, then individual plugin review pages, then head-to-head comparison pages โ€” rather than launched all at once

Which are the primary technologies used for building your product?

Find Right Plugin's answer:

  • Static HTML, CSS, and vanilla JavaScript, no framework
  • Plugin dataset embedded directly in-page as a JavaScript object
  • Cloudflare Pages for hosting, via direct-upload deployment
  • Cloudflare for DNS, domain registered through Namecheap
  • Google Analytics (GA4) for traffic tracking

Who are some of the biggest customers of your product?

Find Right Plugin's answer:

  • Free, anonymous-use tool with no accounts โ€” no individual customers to name

Choosing the Best SQL Server Tool in 2026
If you're a Windows DBA who mainly manages servers, SSMS is still hard to beat. SQL Server Data Tools makes the most sense for teams building database projects in Visual Studio, Visual Studio Code with the MSSQL extension is a good option for cross-platform development, and DBeaver works well if SQL Server is just one of several databases you manage.

The step up from there is an editor with a built-in agent like Cursor, Google Antigravity, Windsurf, or VS Code with a coding extension. These are code editors with an AI agent living inside them, and the difference is the responsible party for getting things from place to place. For IDE-heavy teams, BYOK (bring your own key) can be interesting, no matter whether you live in WebStorm or VS Code. Option 1: Raw editing in IDE. You open the .md file in VS Code or whatever you use. Syntax highlighting shows you the structure. Maybe you toggle a preview pane.
