XignAll is a desktop application for batch digital PDF signing with precise coordinate placement. It runs natively on Windows, macOS, and Linux. Documents are processed entirely on your machine โ€” nothing is uploaded to external servers, no cloud processing, no third-party signing platform involved.

Signing

XignAll supports PKCS#12 certificate files (.p12/.pfx) and PKCS#11 hardware USB tokens (eToken, SafeNet, and compatible devices). Signatures are applied in PAdES format, compliant with the eIDAS regulation and accepted across all EU member states. PIN is entered once per session.

Batch processing

Sign entire folders of PDFs in parallel. Depending on hardware and file size, XignAll processes 20 to 60 documents per minute. Signature position is set once per signer profile โ€” drag-and-drop on a live PDF preview โ€” and reused automatically across the entire batch.

Multi-signer serial workflow

Define an ordered chain of signers. Each person receives an email notification when it is their turn, signs the batch, and passes it to the next signer. Absentee handling is built in.

PDF Tools

Nine built-in tools: merge, split, rotate, add watermark, anonymize (auto-redacts emails, IBANs, phone numbers, passport numbers, bank card numbers), extract text or images, edit metadata, encrypt and decrypt with AES-128.

Document preparation

Convert .docx, .odt, and .xlsx files to PDF and automatically append a signer list page before signing โ€” no manual steps required.

Free edition

A free edition with no time limit is available for Windows, macOS, and Linux.

Questions & Answers

As answered by people managing Vim Python IDE and XignAll.io.

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

XignAll.io's answer:

Most digital signing tools are cloud-based: documents leave the organization. XignAll keeps everything local. For notary offices, cadastral commissions, public institutions, and legal departments that handle sensitive documents under GDPR or internal compliance requirements, this is not optional โ€” it is a hard requirement. XignAll also handles volume: 20โ€“60 documents per minute, entire folders signed in parallel, with eIDAS-compliant PAdES signatures accepted across all EU member states. The free edition has no time limit.

Who are some of the biggest customers of your product?

XignAll.io's answer:

Notary offices using qualified electronic signatures for deed certification Cadastral commissions processing land registry documents in bulk Public administration departments with daily high-volume signing requirements Accounting firms signing financial statements and fiscal documents Legal departments at corporations managing contract workflows with multiple signers

What's the story behind your product?

XignAll.io's answer:

XignAll started as an internal tool built to solve a real problem: signing hundreds of PDF documents daily using hardware USB tokens, with each signature placed in a precise position on the page. Available tools at the time required either manual one-by-one signing or uploading documents to cloud platforms โ€” neither acceptable for organizations handling legally sensitive files. The tool was refined over time, expanded to support multi-signer serial workflows, 10 languages, and three platforms, and released publicly in October 2025 under the name Signatrix before being rebranded to XignAll in April 2026.

How would you describe the primary audience of your product?

XignAll.io's answer:

Organizations in the EU and Eastern Europe that sign between dozens and thousands of PDF documents per day: notary offices, cadastral commissions, public administration, accounting firms, legal departments, and financial institutions. The common thread is a requirement to sign in bulk, use qualified electronic signatures with hardware tokens or PKCS#12 certificates, and keep documents inside the organization's own environment.

What makes your product unique?

XignAll.io's answer:

XignAll runs entirely on the user's machine โ€” no documents are uploaded to external servers, no cloud processing, no SaaS subscriptions to signing platforms. It combines batch PDF signing (entire folders at once), precise coordinate-based signature placement saved per signer profile, and native PKCS#11 hardware token support (eToken, SafeNet) in a single desktop application. The serial multi-signer workflow โ€” where each person in an ordered chain receives an email notification, signs, and passes the batch forward โ€” is built in without requiring any server infrastructure.

Which are the primary technologies used for building your product?

XignAll.io's answer:

Python 3.12, pyhanko (PAdES-format PDF signing, eIDAS-compliant), PKCS#11 via python-pkcs11 (hardware USB token support), CustomTkinter (cross-platform desktop GUI), PyInstaller (native builds for Windows, macOS, Linux). No server-side components โ€” the entire application runs locally.
