Wh1sk is a modern, visual web scraping platform that empowers anyone to extract data from websites โ all without writing a single line of code. Built for developers, researchers, no-code builders, and data enthusiasts, Wh1sk introduces a new way to scrape the web using a powerful flow-based interface that feels intuitive and flexible.
With Wh1sk, users build scraping logic by connecting modular โnodesโ โ such as Extract, Click, Wait, Input, and Output โ to define what data they want and how to get it. These flows are executed directly in the browser using lightweight technologies like JSDOM, making Wh1sk fast, responsive, and efficient for scraping static sites. For users who want more advanced capabilities like handling JavaScript-rendered pages, the platform is being expanded to support local or cloud-based scraping engines like Playwright.
Whether you're extracting product listings, capturing article metadata, or tracking prices across e-commerce sites, Wh1sk offers a clean and efficient solution. Unlike legacy tools like Octoparse or ParseHub, Wh1sk focuses on user experience, simplicity, and speed โ without bloated interfaces or outdated UX. From first-time users to technical power-users, it makes data collection accessible and scalable.
Wh1sk also includes user accounts with support for saving flows, managing API keys (like OpenAI credentials), and exporting data in multiple formats (CSV, JSON, HTML). The platform is currently in open beta and rapidly evolving with user feedback.
Built with a modern stack โ including React, Next.js, React Flow, and Tailwind CSS โ Wh1sk is designed to grow into the go-to web scraping tool for the next generation of internet builders.

Vim Python IDEwh1sk's answer:
Combines the power of web scraping with the simplicity of visual flow-building. Unlike traditional scrapers that require code or complex UIs, Wh1sk offers an intuitive, node-based interface that lets users build scraping workflows like LEGO blocks โ no extensions, no install, no delays, and no friction. Itโs one of the few tools that runs scraping logic right in the browser using JSDOM for fast, static data scraping โ with plans to support dynamic scraping through local or cloud executions.

wh1sk's answer:
React + Next.js for the frontend and routing
React Flow for the visual flow builder
JSDOM for fast, in-browser static scraping
Tailwind CSS for styling and responsive design
Plans to support Playwright or Puppeteer for dynamic scraping flows
wh1sk's answer:
Indie developers and makers looking to automate data extraction
Researchers and analysts gathering structured web data
Marketers tracking competitor prices, listings, and content
No-code builders who need scraping but donโt want to write Python or Javascript.
wh1sk's answer:
wh1sk started as a personal need. It was originally called spatula and could scrape google maps listings using python. Eventually, I wanted to extract content from other websites quickly, without setting up heavy headless browsers or writing boilerplate scripts every time. Traditional scrapers were either too slow, too complex, or too locked-in.
Inspired by tools like n8n, Zapier, and React Flow โ I built wh1sk to redefine web scraping as a visual, modular experience. It began as a side project, then evolved into a tool that I wanted others to try โ so I shipped the beta to learn, grow, and build it with the community.
wh1sk's answer:
Wh1sk is currently in beta, we're welcoming early adopters โ including:
Students automating school research tasks
Small marketing teams extracting competitor data
Scraping hobbyists who want more control without code
Wh1sk is focused on listening to these early users, iterating fast, and building features that scale with their feedback.
