Sugar Sense is an independent CGM companion platform for people with diabetes and their families. Our servers read your existing CGM around the clock, about every 5 minutes, and push every reading and alert to your devices, so alerts arrive even while the phone sleeps.

Works with: FreeStyle Libre 2/3 (via LibreLinkUp), Dexcom G6/G7 (via Dexcom Share), and any Nightscout site. Manual entries, Apple Health and Health Connect work as logging sources.

Alerts: low, high, urgent low, urgent high, rapid rise, rapid fall, missed readings, and a predictive low that warns about 20 minutes before a forecast low. Urgent alerts can break through Silent and Focus (Apple approved critical alerts). Voice alerts can speak readings aloud.

On every screen you own: iPhone, Android, Apple Watch, web dashboard, Windows system tray, Mac menu bar, browser extensions (Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Safari), and Amazon Alexa. Widgets, Lock Screen Live Activity, Dynamic Island, CarPlay and Siri on iOS.

Care Circle: family and friends follow a loved one for free, with the same live number, graph and alerts. The Family plan shares premium across up to 6 seats.

Management: logbook, Time in Range statistics, AI food scanner (carb ranges, never falsely precise numbers), pattern insights, morning report and CSV export.

Free forever: live monitoring, all glucose alerts, Care Circle following, widgets, the web dashboard, the browser extension, the Windows tray, the Mac menu bar and Alexa. The safety net is never paywalled. Premium adds the Apple Watch app, Live Activity, AI features, Call for Low and more.

Available in six languages: English, German, French, Spanish, Dutch and Georgian. Dose-free by principle: the app never suggests insulin doses. Sugar Sense is a supplemental information tool, not a medical device, and complements your CGM vendor's own app.

Analysis of Vim Python IDE

Overall verdict

  • Vim configured as a Python IDE (typically via plugins like coc.nvim, YouCompleteMe, ALE, jedi-vim, or NERDTree combined with configurations found in various GitHub repositories) is a solid choice for developers who value speed, keyboard-driven workflows, and deep customization, though it requires more setup effort than out-of-the-box IDEs like PyCharm or VS Code.

Why this product is good

  • Extremely lightweight and fast, even on older or resource-constrained hardware
  • Highly customizable through plugins (linting, autocompletion, debugging, git integration)
  • Keyboard-centric workflow enables very efficient editing once mastered
  • Works seamlessly over SSH and in terminal-only environments, great for remote server work
  • Free and open-source with a massive ecosystem of community-maintained configs and plugins
  • Consistent editing experience across many languages, not just Python

Recommended for

  • Experienced developers comfortable with the Vim/Neovim modal editing paradigm
  • Users who frequently work in terminal-only or remote/SSH environments
  • Developers who want a minimal, distraction-free coding environment
  • Engineers who enjoy building and maintaining their own custom tooling/config
  • Power users who prioritize speed and efficiency over GUI convenience
  • Those already familiar with Vim motions looking to extend it into a full Python dev environment
