Planning poker and sprint capacity in one tab. Devs join via link, no signup. Imports from Trello/CSV, shows if your sprint scope fits the team - so you stop bouncing between a poker tool, Jira, and a spreadsheet.

SprintPlanner is a sprint planning tool for Scrum and agile teams that combines two things usually done in separate tools: estimation (planning poker) and capacity planning.

Most teams run sprint planning across three tools - a planning poker app, their issue tracker, and a spreadsheet for capacity math. SprintPlanner brings poker and capacity into one tab, so you estimate stories with the team and immediately see whether the sprint scope fits the team's real availability.

How it works: 1. Create a poker session and share the link, your team joins instantly, no sign-up required 2. Estimate tickets together using your preferred scale (Fibonacci, T-shirt, or custom) 3. Import your backlog from CSV or Trello (select a list and tickets are automatically parsed) 4. Open the capacity board: set each developer's story points per day, mark days off for vacations or holidays 5. See instantly whether the planned scope fits your team's real capacity 6. Commit your sprint with confidence

Sits alongside Jira and Trello - not replacing them. Your issue tracker stays the source of truth for day-to-day work; SprintPlanner is for the planning meeting itself.

Built for Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and Tech Leads who want efficient sprint planning without enterprise overhead.

Questions & Answers

As answered by people managing Vim Python IDE and SprintPlanner.app.

What makes your product unique?

SprintPlanner.app's answer:

SprintPlanner combines planning poker with sprint capacity planning in one tab. Most poker tools stop at estimation, you still need a spreadsheet to figure out if your sprint scope fits the team. SprintPlanner connects estimation directly to capacity, so you go from "we estimated everything" to "this sprint fits" without leaving the tool. Developers join sessions via a shared link with no signup, and every dev sees the full ticket description with markdown on their own screen.

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

SprintPlanner.app's answer:

Three reasons:

  1. Capacity planning is built in. After estimating, you set per-developer capacity, mark PTO, and see live whether the sprint scope actually fits your team. No spreadsheet, no manual math.

  2. Zero friction for developers. Your team joins poker sessions via a shared link - no signup, no app install, no "create an account to vote in this 30-minute meeting."

  3. Real ticket context for everyone. Each developer sees the full ticket description with markdown on their own screen, plus a link back to the source in Jira or Trello. No more squinting at someone's screenshare.

It also sits alongside your existing tools rather than trying to replace them, Jira and Trello stay your source of truth for day-to-day work.

How would you describe the primary audience of your product?

SprintPlanner.app's answer:

Scrum Masters, Product Owners, and Tech Leads running 1โ€“2 week sprints with development teams of 3โ€“15 people. Most users work in software teams that already use Jira or Trello for day-to-day work but need a better way to run the sprint planning meeting itself, combining estimation and capacity in one place without exporting to spreadsheets.

It's a particularly good fit for teams that don't have access to Jira's enterprise capacity planning features, or who find them overkill for the weekly planning ritual.
