He wanted a reply assistant that learns your actual voice, respects your privacy as a foundation rather than a marketing line, and never automates anything on your behalf. So he built it himself โ€” one person reads every bug report, one person reads every refund request, and the privacy promises on the site are the reason the product exists in the first place.
