RecallStream's answer:

Every government publishes recalls for free — but in 32 different formats, on 32 different schedules, with no shared identifiers. RecallStream is built as a data-engineering product, not a portal: we pull directly from each primary authority (never re-selling another aggregator's feed), normalize everything into one schema, and expose it as a REST API with real-time webhooks. Each recall carries the source licence and attribution the agency requires. The piece nobody else does self-serve is cross-source incident linking — when the FDA, the EU Safety Gate and Health Canada each publish the same product recall under different notice numbers, weeks apart, we cluster them into one incident.

What's the story behind your product?

RecallStream's answer:

Recall data is public and free — which is exactly why it is so painful. Checking whether anything in your catalogue was just recalled means visiting a dozen agency sites, each with its own format, schedule and search quirks, every single day. The tools that solve it properly are enterprise contracts with a sales call attached, and the free government feeds each stop at one country. RecallStream started in 2026 as the missing middle: one normalized feed across 32 official sources in 20+ countries, priced so a small importer or a solo marketplace seller can afford it, with an API for anyone who wants to build on top instead of logging into another dashboard.

Which are the primary technologies used for building your product?

RecallStream's answer:

TypeScript end to end. Backend on NestJS with Prisma over PostgreSQL as the system of record, ClickHouse for the analytics and normalization layer, Redis for queues and rate limiting. Frontend is React with Vite. Ingestion runs as independent per-source collectors that normalize into a shared schema. Deployed on Docker Swarm behind Cloudflare, with Grafana and Loki for observability. Transactional email via Resend; billing through Paddle as merchant of record.
