Mesostrength's answer:
It's built entirely around mesocycle-based programming. Most workout apps are just loggers where you type in what you did. Mesostrength structures your training into progressive blocks with volume management, overload logic, and recovery feedback built in. The app does the programming thinking so you can focus on training.
Mesostrength's answer:
Apps like Strong or Hevy are great if you just want to log workouts. But they don't help you program for hypertrophy using evidence based methodologies. Mesostrength is for lifters who want structured mesocycles, per-muscle volume tracking, and progression that follows evidence-based hypertrophy principles. If you care about how your training is organized across weeks and blocks, not just individual sessions, this is the app for that.
Mesostrength's answer:
Intermediate to advanced lifters who train for hypertrophy and want their programming to reflect current exercise science. People who've watched Dr. Mike Israetel or read Brad Schoenfeld and want an app that actually implements those principles.
Mesostrength's answer:
I couldn't find an app that programmed training the way the research says it should be done, in an affordable way. Everything was either a basic logger or a cookie-cutter template generator, or costed more than 10x normal app prices. So I built one myself as a solo founder.
Mesostrength's answer:
Next.js, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, Supabase, and Vercel. It runs as a progressive web app so it works on any device without an app store download.
