Low Tide Calm App's answer:
Low Tide Calm is a free breathwork and nervous system regulation app built specifically for ADHD, neurodivergent brains, anxiety and burnout. It is designed for the moments you are already dysregulated, not the calm afternoon when you have time to scroll through menus.
Every tool is reachable in two taps. There is no account, no sign-up, no subscription, and no premium tier. Everything runs offline on your device, and nothing leaves it. No mood logs, no journal entries, no usage data.
The Dopamine Menu filters activities by energy level so you are not overwhelmed with choice when executive function is low. The Crisis Protocol walks you through meltdown, shutdown or panic without expecting you to read paragraphs. Steady Focus gives you a quiet, paced timer for tasks that feel impossible to start.
It is built and maintained by a certified Buteyko instructor, mindfulness teacher and trauma-informed somatic breathwork practitioner who lives with ADHD. The design choices come from that lived experience, not from a marketing brief.
Low Tide Calm App's answer:
Most wellness apps are built for the average meditator on a calm Sunday. They assume you can sit still, follow a 10-minute narration, and remember to come back tomorrow for your streak. If you have ADHD, anxiety, or you are in burnout, that model is the opposite of what you need.
Low Tide Calm is different in five practical ways:
It is also platform-flexible. Live on Google Play, Amazon Appstore, Microsoft Store, and installable as a Progressive Web App on iPhone, Android, desktop or tablet without going through any store at all.
Low Tide Calm App's answer:
The primary audience is adults with ADHD or other neurodivergent traits who have tried mainstream wellness apps and bounced off them. The secondary audience is people managing chronic stress, anxiety, burnout, or high-pressure work who need something practical and private that is always to hand.
Typical users include neurodivergent professionals, parents of neurodivergent children who use the tools themselves, people in or recovering from burnout, and adults navigating ongoing anxiety or emotional dysregulation.
It is also actively used and shared by therapists, breathwork practitioners, mindfulness teachers and HR or wellbeing leads who want a free, ethical, evidence-informed resource to point clients and staff toward without pulling them into a subscription funnel.
The app does not target a meditative, already-regulated audience. It targets the people that audience-focused apps tend to leave behind.
Low Tide Calm App's answer:
Low Tide Calm started as a personal tool. The founder, Cian O'Driscoll, spent roughly a decade in business analyst and product owner roles in corporate environments, and lives with ADHD. Standard wellness apps consistently failed him in the moments he most needed regulation. They were too talky, too cluttered, locked behind paywalls, or built around streaks and gamification that punish neurodivergent brains.
He built the app from scratch over many months with no engineering background, teaching himself React, Vite, TypeScript, service workers and Cloudflare Workers along the way. Every design choice came from one filter: what would actually be useful at the exact moment a nervous system is dysregulated? That filter is why crisis tools sit one tap from the home screen, why the Dopamine Menu filters by energy level, why there are no streaks or notifications, and why nothing ever leaves the device.
The app launched across Google Play, Amazon Appstore, Microsoft Store and as a Progressive Web App, with the Samsung Galaxy Store next. It is currently on v1.7.0 and continues to evolve based on direct feedback from neurodivergent users.
There is no investor, no team, no monetisation roadmap, and no plan to add one. The app is supported by Cian's separate wellness practice, which is what allows it to stay genuinely free, fully offline, and free of tracking.

Low Tide Calm is a free, privacy-first consumer app with no account system and no analytics. We do not track who installs it, so we genuinely do not know who our users are by name or organisation. Adoption is currently across Google Play, Amazon Appstore, Microsoft Store and the Progressive Web App, with users primarily in Ireland, the UK, the US, Canada and Australia.
