CogniZenKids is a story-driven STEAM learning platform for children ages 6โ€“12, built around the six real-world skills that schools consistently leave out.

Six Skill Tracks

  • Mind Mastery โ€” Critical thinking & focus, led by Professor Spark
  • Heart Smarts โ€” Emotional intelligence, empathy & social skills, led by Coach Echo
  • Body Science โ€” Physical literacy, led by Captain Kinetic
  • Future Builders โ€” AI literacy & future readiness, led by Dr. Circuit
  • Money Minds โ€” Financial literacy, led by Sterling
  • Strategy Lab โ€” Strategic thinking & leadership, led by Maverick

How It Works

Each track delivers interactive, curriculum-backed lessons across three age tiers:

  • Explorer (ages 6โ€“8)
  • Builder (ages 9โ€“10)
  • Innovator (ages 10+)

Lessons are story-driven, character-led, and gamified โ€” children earn collectible Gem Guardians and printable track certificates as they progress.

Standout Features

  • AI Detective Challenge โ€” kids investigate AI-generated content and learn to spot it, building real AI literacy through play
  • AI Learning Lab โ€” guided, safe AI experiments with parent controls
  • Parent Dashboard โ€” progress tracking, certificate history, and feature controls
  • In-lesson Sidekick Help โ€” alternative explanations when a child gets stuck

Who It's For

Parents of children 6โ€“12 who want more than academic drilling. Especially popular with homeschool families and parents focused on raising emotionally intelligent, financially aware, and AI-literate kids.

Questions & Answers

As answered by people managing Vim Python IDE and CogniZenKids.

Which are the primary technologies used for building your product?

CogniZenKids's answer:

  • Frontend: React (via Lovable)
  • Backend/Database: Supabase (auth, storage, edge functions)
  • Payments: Stripe
  • AI content: Claude API (Anthropic)
  • Character voices: ElevenLabs
  • Analytics: Google Analytics 4
  • Media hosting: Cloudinary

What makes your product unique?

CogniZenKids's answer:

The only platform built around the six skills schools consistently skip:

  • Critical thinking & focus โ€” Mind Mastery track
  • Emotional intelligence & empathy โ€” Heart Smarts track
  • Physical literacy โ€” Body Science track
  • AI literacy & future readiness โ€” Future Builders track
  • Financial literacy โ€” Money Minds track
  • Strategic thinking & Leadership โ€” Strategy Lab track

Each track has a dedicated character mentor, age-tiered content (Explorer/Builder/Innovator), and gamified rewards. The AI Detective challenge โ€” where kids learn to spot AI-generated content โ€” exists nowhere else in K-12 EdTech.

What's the story behind your product?

CogniZenKids's answer:

Founded in 2026 by Richard West, a Las Vegas-based technology professional with 20+ years in enterprise IT and cybersecurity. After years in identity and access management โ€” a field built on understanding how systems and people can be manipulated โ€” Richard recognized that the most important skills for navigating an AI-driven world weren't being taught anywhere. CogniZenKids is the result: a bootstrapped, solo-founder platform built to give kids a real head start on life.

How would you describe the primary audience of your product?

CogniZenKids's answer:

Parents of children ages 6โ€“12 who feel schools are academically focused but leave out emotional intelligence, financial literacy, and critical thinking. Homeschool families are a core segment. Secondary audience: after-school enrichment and parents preparing kids for an AI-native world.

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

CogniZenKids's answer:

Most kids' learning apps focus on academic subjects already covered in school. CogniZenKids focuses exclusively on real-world life skills. Khan Academy Kids teaches reading and math. ABCmouse teaches phonics. CogniZenKids teaches a child how to manage frustration, spot manipulation, understand compound interest, and think strategically โ€” skills that compound over a lifetime. Six tracks, one platform, 14-day free trial.
