Features and specs

What each product offers, as listed by its team.

ViewAndBurn 6 features
Cozystack 5 features
  • Burn After Reading
The core database instantly eradicates the note upon the first view ensuring nobody can ever access the information a second time.
  • Advanced Encryption
All text payloads are locked behind standard AES 256 encryption before they ever leave your browser.
  • Zero Tracking Architecture
We do not use third party analytics pixels or sell your browsing habits. Your secrets remain entirely your own business.
  • Integrated Password Generator
Create strong randomized alphanumeric passwords directly inside the note creation tool with a single click.
  • Timed Expiration Options
If you do not want an instant burn you can set your secure note to expire automatically after one hour or one full day.
  • Completely Free
Enjoy premium secure routing without paying a single cent thanks to the dedicated infrastructure provided by Anselerate.
  • Free and Open Source
Cozystack is a fully open-source platform (under Apache 2.0 license) built on top of proven open-source technologies like Kubernetes, Talos Linux, and FluxCD, allowing users to inspect, modify, and contribute to the codebase without vendor lock-in.
  • All-in-One PaaS/IaaS Platform
Cozystack provides a comprehensive platform that combines PaaS and IaaS capabilities, offering managed Kubernetes clusters, databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Redis, etc.), virtual machines, load balancers, and monitoring out of the box, reducing the need for multiple separate tools.
  • Built on Battle-Tested Technologies
The platform leverages well-established cloud-native technologies such as Kubernetes, KubeVirt for virtualization, Kamaji for managed Kubernetes, and Cilium for networking, providing a solid and reliable foundation rather than reinventing the wheel.
  • Simplified Bare-Metal Deployment
Cozystack is designed to be installed directly on bare-metal servers using Talos Linux, making it relatively straightforward to set up your own cloud infrastructure without needing pre-existing cloud providers or complex manual configurations.
  • GitOps-Driven and Declarative Management
Using FluxCD and Helm charts under the hood, Cozystack follows GitOps principles, enabling declarative infrastructure management, reproducible deployments, and easy customization of platform components through a standardized workflow.

Possible disadvantages

  • Steep Learning Curve
Cozystack requires solid knowledge of Kubernetes, Talos Linux, networking, and various cloud-native technologies. Users unfamiliar with these ecosystems may find the initial setup and ongoing management challenging.
  • Relatively Young and Small Community
Compared to established platforms like OpenStack or major managed Kubernetes services, Cozystack has a smaller user community, which means fewer community-contributed resources, tutorials, third-party integrations, and slower issue resolution from peers.
  • Limited Enterprise Support and Ecosystem
As a relatively new open-source project, Cozystack lacks the extensive enterprise support contracts, professional services, and partner ecosystems that more mature platforms offer, which may concern organizations requiring SLA-backed support.
  • Hardware and Infrastructure Requirements
Cozystack is designed for bare-metal deployments and requires a minimum cluster of nodes with specific hardware capabilities (e.g., for KubeVirt virtualization), which may not be accessible or cost-effective for smaller teams or those without dedicated infrastructure.
  • Limited Documentation and Maturity
Being a newer project, the documentation can be sparse or incomplete in certain areas, and some features may still be evolving, potentially leading to breaking changes or gaps in functionality compared to more mature alternatives.

Questions & Answers

As answered by people managing ViewAndBurn and Cozystack.

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

ViewAndBurn's answer

You should choose our platform if you value frictionless security and pristine digital privacy. Many competitors force you to navigate bloated interfaces or watch annoying advertisements before generating a link. We provide a clean ad free environment backed by highly reliable server infrastructure.

-Incredible Speed: Generate a self destructing encrypted link in seconds.

-Verified Trust: Engineered by a transparent web agency rather than a completely anonymous entity.

-Absolute Simplicity: No mandatory account creation is required to send your very first secret message.

How would you describe the primary audience of your product?

ViewAndBurn's answer

Our primary audience consists of professionals and individuals who handle highly sensitive data on a daily basis.

-Software Developers: Sharing raw API keys and database credentials securely across teams.

-Agency Owners: Transmitting private login details to clients without leaving a permanent email trail.

-Privacy Advocates: Everyday internet users who simply want to send personal messages without any corporate surveillance.

What makes your product unique?

ViewAndBurn's answer

ViewAndBurn stands out through its absolute commitment to a zero tracking philosophy. While most communication platforms keep hidden backups or harvest your metadata for advertising we take the exact opposite approach. We execute a hard physical delete on the database level the very second a note is opened. There are no tracking pixels no advertisements and absolutely no recovery options.

Once your secret is read it is gone forever.

Which are the primary technologies used for building your product?

ViewAndBurn's answer

We rely on a robust and battle tested technology stack to guarantee maximum uptime and total data security.

-PHP: Powers the core server logic and handles the rapid secure request routing.

-PostgreSQL: Manages the strict relational database architecture and executes the instant hard delete commands.

-Bootstrap: Delivers a highly responsive and completely mobile friendly user interface.

-Vanilla JavaScript: Drives the frontend client side random password generator without requiring external libraries.

Who are some of the biggest customers of your product?

ViewAndBurn's answer

Because we operate a strict zero tracking platform we intentionally do not monitor or log the corporate identities of our specific users. However the tool is widely adopted as a daily utility by freelance web developers digital marketing agencies and cybersecurity professionals who require absolute privacy for their internal communications. It is proudly funded and maintained by Ansel Web Solutions as a free public utility.

What's the story behind your product?

ViewAndBurn's answer

The platform actually began as a small security feature inside a much larger monolithic web application. Our engineer Andrea at Anselerate noticed that the secure notes tool was incredibly popular but it was buried under unrelated link management features. We decided to perform a surgical extraction. We cloned the original architecture stripped away everything unrelated to secure routing and launched ViewAndBurn as a dedicated standalone utility.

Our primary goal was to create the fastest and safest way to share secrets online.
