What makes your product unique?

VidFinder searches your footage by what it looks like, not just what it's named. One search across your tags, file names, folders, and visuals finds the right clip every time. Its standout feature is thumbnail scrub – hover over any clip and scroll to preview the footage in real time, with no download, no loading, and no need to open your editor just to check a frame. It's something no other tool has managed to do properly.

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

Because nothing else actually solves the problem. Folder systems, naming conventions, and generic file search all fall apart once your library grows. VidFinder is purpose-built for video: it understands what's inside your clips, lets you scrub any file without opening it, supports unlimited custom tags, and bulk-exports straight into Premiere, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut, or CapCut in a single drag. It replaces the guesswork of hunting through folders with finding any clip in seconds.

Video editors and content creators on Mac who manage large, growing video libraries – people with thousands of clips who are tired of guessing where they saved a video and digging through folders to find it.

What's the story behind your product?

VidFinder's answer

VidFinder exists because nothing else did. After years of managing video libraries in Apple Finder – trying every foldering system, every naming convention, and every workaround that should have worked but didn't – it became clear the right tool simply didn't exist. We were sick of having to guess where we saved a video, so we built VidFinder.
