I'm working on a new app for creating technical diagrams - https://vexlio.com. It's an area with some heavyweight incumbents (e.g. Visio, Lucid) but I think there's good opportunity here to differentiate in simplicity and overall experience. I'm still in the fairly early phase, and I suspect I haven't quite found the best match of features to customers yet. From a dev perspective this area has a ton of super... - Source: Hacker News / 3 months ago
I don't know what the author of this article, used but the current iteration of Vexlio [1] is a good fit for this type of diagram. (I am the developer). [1] - https://vexlio.com. - Source: Hacker News / 6 months ago
Hi HN, I'm pleased to announce the release of a new version of Vexlio, the tool for quick creation of technical diagrams. You can check out the new version right away, no signup, email address, download, etc required: https://app.vexlio.com/ The new version has a much more robust snapping system, auto-connecting arrows, a smart labeling system, and more. Thanks a lot man - I'm really happy to have this kind of feedback. The reason I wrote this is because I found most of the modern explanations lacking in intuition behind the equations - along with also not explaining what the actual equations meant. If you found this useful please share and subscribe - I'm also trying to provide intuitive guides to other concepts (Schrodinger's equation, Black Holes, Quantum... - Source: Hacker News / over 1 year ago
I am always amazed by how much effort has gone into Tikz. However, I always end up reaching for a manual diagramming tool (Omnigraffle on the Mac), along with cutting and pasting snippets of typeset text using LaTeXit. I saw this tool on HN some time back and it seems to have evolved into a very promising product: LaTeX typesetting, manual drawing, programmable with Lua. The price seems excellent too ($25).... - Source: Hacker News / about 4 years ago
I went with SvelteKit to make everything easier for me (feel free to use what works for you to achieve your goal). I also used TailwindCSS' preflight script to reset the default browser styles to make styling super easy. - Source: dev.to / about 2 months ago
I primarily work on Windows, though I also use Linux, so I needed a cross-platform solution. I chose Electron for its flexibility and paired it with Svelte, TailwindCSS, and Vite-Electron. Vite made dev setup fast and clean, which I really appreciated. - Source: dev.to / 3 months ago
Svelte continues to earn a reputation as the joy-to-work-with framework due to its lightweight nature, elegant syntax, and compile-time reactivity. It is often used for side projects, hobby apps, and small websites, but Svelte isnโt just for passion projects. - Source: dev.to / 4 months ago
The first time I visited https://svelte.dev , the non-flat-vector banner instantly won me. It just stands out from the world around it. I just sort of assumed the engineering was superior to the competition if they were going to lead with crimped metal (and was right). Flat design has always struck me as an extremist response to an issue. Windows Vista required everyone to be on the same page design-language wise... - Source: Hacker News / 4 months ago
Svelte as the main framework. (Whimsy is my first Svelte project, actually! And Svelte didn't disappoint. Almost.). - Source: dev.to / 4 months ago
