What makes your product unique?

Utilorax's answer

Two things. First, most of the tools never send your data anywhere — 63 of the file tools run entirely in your browser, and the ones that do need a server (certain PDF and Office conversions) delete the file the moment they are done. Second, the same operations are available as a free JSON API with 203 endpoints, which almost no free tools site offers.

Add to that 1,162 tools in one place, no account for anything, five languages, and it installs as a PWA and keeps working offline.

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

The competitors listed here are each good at one thing — Calculator.net and Omni for calculators, IT Tools and CodeBeautify for developer utilities, 10015.io for the everyday mix. Utilorax covers that whole span in one place, so you are not learning a new site for each small job.

The real difference is the developer API. If you need a conversion or a hash once, use the page; if you need it a thousand times, the same thing is a JSON endpoint with a free key. And nothing asks you to sign up first.

How would you describe the primary audience of your product?

Utilorax's answer

Two groups. Most visitors want a single answer and then to leave — convert a unit, work out a loan payment, compress a PDF — and they should not have to create an account for that.

The second group is developers, who reach the same operations through the JSON API instead of the page. The site is in English, Spanish, French, Portuguese and Chinese, so a good part of the audience is not reading in English.

What's the story behind your product?

Utilorax's answer

It came out of irritation. I kept opening a different site for every small job — one for a unit conversion, one to compress an image, one to count words — and most of them wanted an upload or a sign-up for something my own browser could do perfectly well.

So I built the whole set in one place and made the browser do the work wherever it could. It went live on 29 July 2026 and is run from Karachi.
