Undertone shows you the structure underneath: the palette by how much of the image each color actually occupies, the harmony relationships on the color wheel, the warm and cool temperature zones, and the light-to-dark value arrangement. It is built from a painter's perspective, to explain why a set of colors works, not just to name them. Everything runs on your device, with no account and no AI guesswork.

Undertone came from a simple frustration: existing color apps are built for designers grabbing hex codes, not for people trying to understand color the way a painter does. A student can see that a master's color choices work but cannot articulate why, because the answer lives in temperature and value relationships that no tool makes visible. Undertone was built to close that gap, to turn the invisible structure of color into something you can actually see and learn from.
