Questions & Answers

As answered by people managing Uber Eats and RestauNax.

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

RestauNax's answer:

Cost structure, and who owns the customer.

Toast runs $69–165/month for the POS, plus more for online ordering. Square takes 2.6% per swipe. DoorDash and Uber Eats take up to 30% of every delivery order — and they keep the customer relationship, so the restaurant never learns who ordered or how to reach them again.

RestauNax is $99/month flat with 0% commission. On a restaurant doing $20,000/month through delivery apps, the commission alone is $6,000 a month. That arithmetic is the argument — run it against your own sales.

The customer list, the order history and the app on the customer's home screen belong to the restaurant.

What makes your product unique?

RestauNax's answer:

RestauNax replaces an entire stack rather than adding to it. One flat $99/month covers a cloud POS, the restaurant's own website, its own branded iOS and Android app, online ordering, commission-free delivery, loyalty, AI phone ordering and AI marketing tools.

Most restaurants assemble that from three or four vendors and pay a commission on top. RestauNax is one bill with zero commission on orders — and the orders, the customer data and the app branding stay with the restaurant instead of a marketplace.

How would you describe the primary audience of your product?

RestauNax's answer:

Independent restaurants and small chains in the United States — any cuisine or format: pizza shops, coffee shops, food trucks, fast casual, fine dining, bakeries, ghost kitchens and multi-location groups.

Typically owner-operators currently paying several vendors plus delivery commissions, who want their own ordering channel without hiring a developer.

RestauNax also runs a separate $4.99/month platform for home food businesses and cottage food operators.

What's the story behind your product?

RestauNax's answer:

RestauNax was founded in 2025 in Tampa, Florida, after watching independent restaurants pay for their technology three times over — once to the POS vendor, once to the payment processor, and again to the delivery marketplaces taking up to 30% of every order while keeping the customer relationship.

That model works for the platforms. It does not work for a restaurant running on single-digit margins.

The goal was to give independent restaurants the technology the big chains have, at a price that makes sense, without handing a third of their revenue to someone else — and to keep the technical complexity on our side so they can focus on the food.

Which are the primary technologies used for building your product?

RestauNax's answer:

React, Next.js, React Native, Node.js, PostgreSQL, Stripe
