PineHook connects TradingView alerts to MetaTrader 5 for automated trade execution and position management. Use it with a single MT5 account or run the same strategy across several brokers and prop firms.

Setup starts with the PineHook Expert Advisor on your MT5 terminal. Connect a license, then add the webhook URL and trade instructions to a TradingView alert. The EA places the trades locally, so PineHook never needs your broker login or password.

With CSV or JSON alerts, you can:

  • Open market and pending orders, close positions, or change stops and targets.
  • Set multiple take-profit and stop-loss levels, take partial profits, and automate trailing stops and breakeven moves.
  • Send one alert to several accounts through the Trade Copier, with a separate trade-size multiplier for each. Available on Pro and Premium.

Risk controls include daily drawdown limits with different modes, spread and slippage protection, position limits, symbol filters, and trading-hour restrictions, all configurable via the web dashboard.

Once trades are open, manage them from the web dashboard. Watch positions and live, in-depth strategy analytics, close a trade in full or in part, and adjust stop-loss and take-profit levels. EA settings are there too, letting you change EA settings without requiring access to your MT5 terminal.

PineHook pushes signals over WebSocket, backed by redundant relay servers with automatic failover. The signal logs show timestamps, delivery status, execution results, and rejection reasons. When an alert fails, there's a record to check. Public latency and uptime reports let traders review the service's performance.

Signal and account data are encrypted at rest. PineHook does not sell personal information, and every plan includes two years of signal history.

Start with a 14-day free trial. MT5 and the PineHook EA must stay running on a computer or VPS to receive and execute alerts.

PineHook features and specs

  • Trading Automation
PineHook enables traders to automate their TradingView Pine Script alerts by converting them into webhook signals that can trigger trades on connected brokers or exchanges, reducing the need for manual order execution.
  • No-Code Setup
The platform is designed to let users set up automated trading workflows without needing to write custom backend code, making algorithmic trading more accessible to non-programmers.
  • Multiple Broker/Exchange Support
PineHook typically supports connections to various brokers and exchanges, allowing traders to route signals to their preferred trading platform without building custom integrations for each one.
  • Faster Execution
By automating the process from alert to trade execution, PineHook can reduce latency compared to manually placing trades after receiving a TradingView alert, which can be valuable in fast-moving markets.
  • Simplified Webhook Management
The service abstracts away the complexity of setting up and maintaining webhook listeners and payload parsing, handling the technical infrastructure so traders can focus on strategy development.

Possible disadvantages of PineHook

  • Third-Party Dependency Risk
Relying on an external service to handle trade execution introduces a single point of failure; if PineHook experiences downtime or bugs, it could delay or prevent trades from executing as intended.
  • Limited Customization
No-code or low-code platforms like PineHook may not offer the same level of flexibility as custom-built trading bots, potentially limiting advanced strategy logic or conditional order types.
  • Subscription Costs
Using a dedicated webhook automation service typically involves recurring subscription fees, which can add up over time and eat into trading profits, especially for smaller accounts.
  • Security Concerns
Connecting broker API keys or account credentials to a third-party service raises security considerations, as any vulnerability in PineHook's infrastructure could expose sensitive trading account access.
  • Limited Track Record/Transparency
As a smaller or niche service compared to more established trading automation platforms, there may be less publicly available information, reviews, or long-term reliability data to evaluate before committing to it.

Questions & Answers

As answered by people managing TVBridge.app and PineHook.

What makes your product unique?

TVBridge.app's answer

TVBridge is a powerful desktop bridge that connects TradingView directly to your MetaTrader 5 terminal, allowing you to execute trades instantly without switching platforms.

PineHook's answer:

PineHook's web dashboard lets you manage your MT5 trading accounts without returning to the terminal. Once the EA is running, open a browser to manage positions and change its settings from wherever you are.

Watch open trades and live P&L, close positions fully or partially, and adjust stop-loss and take-profit levels. Configure risk controls, trading hours, and symbol filters, then push settings to your EA. For multiple accounts, manage trade copying and set a separate size multiplier for each.

Signal logs and performance analytics sit alongside those controls. Check whether an alert executed, read why it was rejected, or inspect its timing without digging through terminal logs.

That combination of position management, remote EA configuration, multi-account control, and execution records is what sets PineHook apart. The dashboard is where you can act on your trading accounts throughout the day, while the EA handles execution on your running MT5 terminal.

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

PineHook's answer:

Speed matters, but a fast connection means little if it misses the alert that should close a trade. PineHook is built with that in mind.

PineHook delivers sub-25ms median alert delivery through WebSocket connections, backed by redundant relay servers with automatic failover. Features go through automated and manual testing before release because a new capability should never come at the expense of reliable execution.

Serious traders know reliability matters just as much as raw speed when real positions are on the line. PineHook provides both, with public latency and uptime reports and detailed signal logs that let traders check our performance.

How would you describe the primary audience of your product?

PineHook's answer:

PineHook is for traders who use TradingView to generate signals and MetaTrader 5 to execute trades. They have a strategy and want to automate it, with control over risk and visibility into what happens to each alert.

That includes Pine Script developers, traders using indicator alerts, and prop-firm traders running strategies across multiple accounts. Some automate the full trade, including exits and position sizing. Others automate entries and manage open positions themselves.

It's particularly useful for traders who want to manage positions, adjust EA settings, and monitor several accounts from a web browser while their MT5 terminals run on a computer or VPS.

What's the story behind your product?

PineHook's answer:

We built PineHook because we needed it for our own trading.

Our team consists of software engineers who trade, with experience across markets and a background in data security and privacy. We had used other TradingView-to-MetaTrader services and experienced the consequences when they failed. Positions that should have closed overnight were still open. Reversals never happened.

Some services were slow or unreliable. Others lacked the features we needed, and updates sometimes broke things that had worked before. When we needed help, support often couldn't explain what had gone wrong.

We wanted a service we could trust with our own money, built by people who understood both the engineering and the consequences of a missed trade. So we built PineHook.

Today, we operate from Quebec, Canada. We test releases through thorough automated and manual checks, publish latency and uptime reports, and give traders detailed records of their alerts. Customer feedback directly shapes what we build next.
