Travis CI for Simple, Flexible, Trustworthy CI/CD Tools //
    2024-10-22

Founded in Berlin, Germany, in 2011, Travis CI grew quickly and became a trusted name in CI/CD, gaining popularity among software developers and engineers starting their careers. In 2019, Travis CI became part of Idera, Inc., the parent company of global B2B software productivity brands whose solutions enable technical users to work faster and do more with less.

Today, developers at 300,000 organizations use Travis CI. We often hear about the pangs of nostalgia these folks feel when they use Travis CI, as it was one of the first tools they used at the beginning of their career journey. We are still much here, supporting those who have stuck with us along the way and remaining the best next destination on your CI/CD journey, whether youโ€™re building your first pipelines or trying to bring some thrill back into work thatโ€™s become overloaded with AI and DevSecOps complexity.

Our Mission:

We deliver the simplest and most flexible CI/CD tool to developers eager for ownership of their code quality, transparency in how they problem-solve with peers, and pride in the results they createโ€”one LOC at a time.

Our Promise:

We aim for nothing less than to guide every developer to the next phase of their CI/CD adventureโ€”even if that means growing beyond our platform.

What StackSwap does

StackSwap is a free GTM stack audit that surfaces tool overlap, redundancy, and waste in B2B sales tech stacks. Built for founders, RevOps leads, and sales operators who need to cut SaaS spend without losing capability.

How it works

  • Drop in your current GTM stack (CRM, sales engagement, data enrichment, intent, etc.)
  • Get a structured audit showing where you're paying twice for the same capability
  • See keep / replace / remove recommendations with the cheaper alternative if it exists
  • Free to use โ€” no sales call, no demo, no integration setup

Who it's for

  • B2B SaaS founders trying to keep burn low
  • RevOps and sales ops teams running consolidation reviews
  • Heads of Sales / Marketing / Revenue tasked with cutting tooling spend
  • Buyers comparing the SaaS spend management category before committing to a heavyweight platform

Why it's different

Unlike SaaS Management Platforms (Vendr, Zylo, Productiv, BetterCloud), StackSwap is self-serve and integration-free. You don't connect billing data or wait on procurement workflows โ€” you get a directional audit in under 60 seconds. Great as a first-step diagnostic before adopting an SMP, or as a standalone tool for teams that just want to cut overlap.

Coverage

GTM tooling we score includes CRM, sales engagement, data enrichment, intent data, ABM platforms, conversation intelligence, marketing automation, customer success, and more.

Questions & Answers

As answered by people managing Travis CI and StackSwap.

What makes your product unique?

StackSwap's answer:

Most SaaS spend tools โ€” Vendr, Zylo, Productiv, BetterCloud โ€” require integrations with billing, SSO, or HRIS before they tell you anything. They're heavyweight onboarded platforms. StackSwap is the opposite: drop in your tool list, get a structured audit in ~60 seconds, no integration. Overlap surfaced by category, with keep / replace / remove calls. It's the diagnostic step before the platform commitment, not a replacement for it.

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

StackSwap's answer:

Two reasons:

  1. Speed. SaaS Management Platforms take 2-6 weeks to onboard and another 30-60 days to surface useful insights. StackSwap takes 60 seconds. Different product class.

  2. Cost. SMP contracts start around $20k/yr. The free Stackscan covers most of what a founder or RevOps lead needs to start the consolidation conversation.

Honest take: if you're already running an SMP and getting value, keep it. StackSwap is the faster diagnostic, not the replacement. If you're shopping the SMP category, run StackSwap first to see what you actually need before sitting through five demos.

How would you describe the primary audience of your product?

StackSwap's answer:

B2B SaaS founders, RevOps leads, and Heads of Sales / Marketing / Revenue at companies in the 10-200 employee range โ€” typically post-seed, pre-Series-B โ€” where the GTM stack has grown organically and nobody owns the audit. Common trigger: a board meeting where someone asks "are we paying for tools we don't use?"

Also: buyers evaluating the SaaS spend management category who want a directional read before sitting through enterprise sales cycles.

What's the story behind your product?

StackSwap's answer:

I spent 10 years in B2B SaaS sales โ€” BDR through Head of Revenue โ€” selling into hundreds of mid-market and enterprise teams. I watched companies pay six figures a year for two competing data enrichment tools because nobody owned the audit and nobody wanted to fight the renewal motion.

StackSwap is the tool I would've hated to face as a vendor on the renewal call: free, fast, takes the buyer's side, names overlap by name. The category I sold in for a decade gets auditable.

Which are the primary technologies used for building your product?

StackSwap's answer:

Next.js 14 (App Router) on Vercel, TypeScript, Supabase (Postgres + Auth + Storage), Stripe for billing, Anthropic's Claude API for LLM-assisted analysis, Sentry for observability.

Built deliberately on a thin stack โ€” the irony of running a tool-overlap audit on 30 SaaS subscriptions wasn't lost on me.
