Analysis

An editorial look at what each product does well and who it suits.

Tradecovex
Selfcommit.dev

Overall verdict

  • I don't have verified, reliable information confirming that Tradecovex (tradecovex.com) is a legitimate or trustworthy trading platform. Names like this are commonly associated with unregulated or high-risk online trading/investment sites, and I cannot confirm regulatory status, ownership, or a track record of safely returning client funds. Exercise strong caution before depositing any money.

Why this product is good

  • No verifiable regulatory licensing information is readily confirmed for this platform
  • Generic branding and website structure are common patterns seen in unregulated or scam-like trading sites
  • Lack of independent, credible reviews or third-party audits confirming legitimacy
  • Financial platforms without clear regulatory oversight carry high risk of fund loss

Recommended for

  • Not recommended for anyone without independently verifying regulatory status first
  • Only consider if you can confirm licensing with a recognized financial authority (e.g., FCA, ASIC, CySEC)
  • Suitable only for highly risk-tolerant users willing to test with minimal, disposable funds after due diligence
  • Not suitable for beginners or those seeking a regulated, insured trading environment

Overall verdict

  • Selfcommit.dev appears to be a niche accountability/goal-tracking tool aimed at helping individuals commit to personal or professional goals, but there is limited widespread public information, reviews, or track record available to fully verify its quality, reliability, or long-term support.

Why this product is good

  • Focuses on personal accountability through structured commitment tracking, which can be motivating for self-improvement
  • Likely has a simple, developer-friendly interface given the '.dev' domain branding
  • May offer a lightweight, distraction-free alternative to bloated habit-tracking apps
  • Could be a good fit for solo builders or indie hackers who prefer minimalist tools

Recommended for

  • Individuals looking for a simple self-accountability or commitment-tracking tool
  • Developers or indie hackers who prefer niche, no-frills apps over mainstream productivity suites
  • Users comfortable trying newer, less established platforms
  • People who want lightweight goal or habit tracking without complex features

Questions & Answers

As answered by people managing Tradecovex and Selfcommit.dev.

How would you describe the primary audience of your product?

Tradecovex's answer

Futures day traders on NinjaTrader managing multiple prop firm accounts across Apex, Topstep, MyFundedFutures, Tradeify, or Bulenox. Typically 1–3 years experience, past beginner stage, not yet consistently profitable, already spending on tools.

What makes your product unique?

Tradecovex's answer

Tradecovex is the only NinjaTrader add-on that combines a trade copier with an AI-powered trade journal. Every trade copied across your prop firm accounts is automatically analyzed for behavioural patterns — tilt, revenge trading, size escalation, time-of-day edge breakdown. No other tool does both in one add-on.

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

Tradecovex's answer

Other copiers (Replikanto) have no journal. Other journals (TradeZella, TraderSync) have no copier. Tradecovex does both, and the AI analyzes your actual multi-account data to show you exactly where your edge breaks down — not what to trade, but why your results look the way they do.

What's the story behind your product?

Tradecovex's answer

Built by a prop firm trader who kept blowing accounts without understanding why. No tool explained the behavioural patterns behind the losses — so he built one. Tradecovex started as a personal solution and became a product.

Which are the primary technologies used for building your product?

Tradecovex's answer

NinjaScript (C#) for the local add-on, FastAPI (Python) backend, PostgreSQL database, Anthropic AI for behavioural analysis, hosted on DigitalOcean.

Who are some of the biggest customers of your product?

Tradecovex's answer

Currently in soft beta with early prop firm traders
