Questions & Answers

As answered by people managing Trade Journal AI and Codegres.org.

What makes your product unique?

Trade Journal AI's answer

Most trading journals were built for stock or futures traders and bolted on crypto later. Trade Journal AI was built for active crypto traders from the ground up, and it fixes three things generic journals get wrong: 24/7 markets with no daily session boundary, perpetual funding payments that quietly distort flat-trade P&L, and on-chain venues like Hyperliquid that have no API keys. Funding is tracked separately from realized P&L, partial fills are reconciled into a single position with weighted-average entry, and the AI Coach reads your entire journal — every note, rule, and post-trade reflection — not just the numbers in your trade rows.

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

Trade Journal AI's answer

One flat price with every feature included: $19.95/mo or $195/yr, no tiers and no feature paywalls. Broker sync is read-only — keys can't place trades or move funds. You can try the full product without signing up at tradejournal.ai/demo, and there's a 14-day money-back guarantee. Where most journals stop at charts and stats, the AI Coach (built on Anthropic's Claude) is grounded in your actual written journal, so its feedback is about your decisions and discipline, not just your win rate.

How would you describe the primary audience of your product?

Trade Journal AI's answer

Active crypto traders — day and swing traders working perps and futures — who want more than a spreadsheet. It's built for traders serious about process: people who define setups, grade them, follow rules, and want an AI that holds them to it. It works just as well for a disciplined beginner building the journaling habit as for an experienced trader hunting the leak in their edge.

What's the story behind your product?

Trade Journal AI's answer

It started from a gap the founder kept hitting as a crypto trader: every journal on the market assumed a 9-to-4 stock session, choked on perpetual funding, and couldn't handle on-chain accounts that don't issue API keys. Rather than force crypto into a stock-shaped tool, Trade Journal AI was built specifically for how crypto actually trades — around the clock, on perps, across both API-key exchanges and on-chain wallets. It launched in 2026 and is run by its founder out of Jacksonville, Florida.

Which are the primary technologies used for building your product?

Trade Journal AI's answer

The AI Coach runs on Anthropic's Claude (Sonnet). Charting is powered by embedded TradingView, including Pine Script integration that can fire trade rows via webhook. Exchange connectivity uses each venue's native API plus read-only on-chain wallet lookups — no signing or withdrawal rights required.
