Objects 5 features

No features have been listed yet.

  • Decentralized Object Storage
Objects.to provides decentralized storage solutions, allowing users to store data across distributed networks rather than relying on a single centralized server, which enhances data resilience and reduces single points of failure.
  • Web3 and Blockchain Integration
The platform is designed with Web3 principles in mind, making it well-suited for developers building decentralized applications (dApps) that need reliable and censorship-resistant storage.
  • Simple API and Developer Experience
Objects.to offers a straightforward API that makes it relatively easy for developers to integrate decentralized storage into their projects without needing deep expertise in the underlying protocols.
  • Content Persistence
Data stored through Objects.to benefits from content-addressable storage mechanisms, helping ensure that files remain available and verifiable over time without risk of link rot or unauthorized modification.
  • Cost-Effective Storage
Compared to traditional cloud storage providers, Objects.to can offer competitive pricing by leveraging decentralized storage networks, potentially reducing costs for developers and businesses storing large amounts of data.

Possible disadvantages

  • Limited Mainstream Adoption
Objects.to is a relatively niche platform compared to established cloud storage providers like AWS S3 or Google Cloud Storage, which means fewer community resources, tutorials, and third-party integrations are available.
  • Performance and Latency Concerns
Decentralized storage can sometimes suffer from higher latency and slower retrieval speeds compared to centralized cloud services that have globally distributed CDNs and optimized infrastructure.
  • Reliability and Uptime Uncertainty
As a smaller and newer platform, Objects.to may not offer the same level of guaranteed uptime and SLAs that enterprise-grade centralized storage providers commit to.
  • Learning Curve for Non-Web3 Developers
Developers unfamiliar with decentralized storage concepts, content addressing, and Web3 paradigms may face a steeper learning curve when adopting Objects.to compared to traditional storage solutions.
  • Limited Documentation and Support
Being a smaller platform, Objects.to may have less comprehensive documentation, fewer support channels, and slower response times for troubleshooting compared to major cloud providers with dedicated support teams.

Overall verdict

  • Objects.to is a niche link-in-bio and personal landing page tool. It appears to offer a minimalist way to consolidate links, but it has limited brand recognition compared to major competitors like Linktree, Bio.link, or Beacons, and detailed independent reviews or long-term reliability data are scarce.

Why this product is good

  • Simple, minimalist interface for creating a single landing page
  • Likely free or low-cost tier for basic use cases
  • Quick setup for consolidating multiple links in one place
  • Lightweight alternative if you dislike bloated link-in-bio tools

Recommended for

  • Individuals wanting a very basic, no-frills link page
  • Users experimenting with alternatives to mainstream link-in-bio services
  • Small creators who don't need advanced analytics or customization
  • Those prioritizing simplicity over extensive design options

Questions & Answers

As answered by people managing TrackZero.eco and Objects.

Who are some of the biggest customers of your product?

TrackZero.eco's answer

  • Bridgestone Tyres
  • Volkswagen Group UK
  • Synergy Logistics
  • Milton Keynes Council
  • Robinsons Packaging plc

How would you describe the primary audience of your product?

TrackZero.eco's answer

TrackZero is built with four different audiences in mind:

  • SMEs and mid-market UK businesses facing procurement pressure, tender requirements, or investor questions on emissions. Often producing their first proper carbon inventory.

  • Sustainability, finance and procurement leads at larger UK organisations who need audit-ready reporting for SECR, UK SRS or CSRD without a six-figure consultancy engagement.

  • Carbon consultants and ESG advisors who run client portfolios and need a platform their clients can also use directly, so the work isn't locked to one relationship.

  • Public sector suppliers meeting PPN 006 requirements to bid for NHS or central government contracts over £5 million.

Sectors range across construction, engineering, manufacturing, financial services, food and drink, professional services and technology.

What makes your product unique?

TrackZero.eco's answer

TrackZero is the UK-built carbon management platform simple enough for in-house teams without the expertise, and powerful enough for experts to work smarter without the cost. Four things set it apart from the crowded field of US and Nordic platforms:

  • UK-native by design. SECR, UK SRS, PPN 006 and CSRD reporting are built in, not bolted on. Every output maps to a real UK obligation, so finance teams can hand a report straight to their auditor.

  • Collaborative supply chain engagement. Scope 3 is the hardest part of any inventory. TrackZero turns it into a network effect: your suppliers use the platform to submit primary data on their own footprint and the goods and services they sell you. That data flows into your inventory automatically, replacing spend-based estimates with verifiable primary figures.

  • You keep the platform, whoever runs it. Use TrackZero yourself or bring in a carbon consultant. If you change consultants, you keep the platform and every year of data in it. .

  • Priced to stay affordable at any scale. From SMEs producing a first footprint to listed PLCs preparing for external assurance, the pricing works. No enterprise minimums, no consultancy-tier gatekeeping.

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

TrackZero.eco's answer

Because TrackZero delivers what most carbon platforms only promise: audit-ready numbers without the enterprise price tag, consultancy tie-in or the hidden calculations.

Compared with the big US and Nordic platforms, TrackZero is built for UK regulatory reality first: PPN 006 for public procurement, SECR for large companies, UK SRS for the incoming disclosure standard, and CSRD for UK subsidiaries of European groups. Every calculation is transparent, so auditors review evidence directly in the platform rather than rebuilding numbers.

Compared with free tools, TrackZero adds multi-year tracking with year-specific emission factors, market-based Scope 2, full supplier engagement for primary Scope 3 data, and ISO 27001 certified security.

Compared with the "carbon consultant with a spreadsheet" approach, TrackZero gives you a platform you own. Change consultants without changing tools.

What's the story behind your product?

TrackZero.eco's answer

TrackZero was founded in October 2023 by people who had done this before. Alan Wilson (CEO) co-founded MoreTrees, acquired by THG PLC within six months of launch. Alan also co-founded Expandly, acquired by GEE. Oliver Waters (CPO) founded Momento, named Apple's App of the Year Runner-Up in Europe. And, Steven Waterfall (CTO) brought engineering leadership from multiple startups.

The idea came from conversations with sustainability, procurement and supply-chain teams through 2023. The same story kept coming up: enterprises sending carbon questionnaires suppliers didn't understand, consultants too expensive to scale and data too inconsistent to act on. One logistics business had lost a contract because it couldn't answer a carbon questionnaire during procurement. Carbon reporting had turned into a condition of doing business, and no one had built the infrastructure to make it work for both sides.

Cranfield University came in early as strategic advisor, pre-seed investor and eventually a customer through its Ready for Net Zero programme. Their sustainability academics validated the methodology against GHG Protocol standards and DEFRA emission factors before the first enterprise customer signed on.

Development began January 2024. The first commercial version launched in March 2024. Bridgestone Tyres signed early and Volkswagen Group UK followed. Today TrackZero boasts organisations from FTSE-listed manufacturers to sole traders and city councils.

Which are the primary technologies used for building your product?

TrackZero.eco's answer

TrackZero is built entirely in-house by the Track Zero Labs engineering team, led by CTO Steven Waterfall. Nothing is white-labelled, and no part of the carbon-accounting engine is licensed from another provider.

At the core is our proprietary emissions calculation engine, aligned strictly to GHG Protocol standards. Cranfield University's sustainability academics validated the calculation framework against those standards and against DEFRA emission factors before the first enterprise customer came on board.

The platform is a web-based SaaS running on cloud infrastructure, engineered to ISO 27001 information security standards. Every calculation is fully traceable, so auditors and finance teams can review evidence, methodology and figures directly in the platform rather than rebuilding numbers from scratch.

Building the engine ourselves rather than licensing one gives us three things: full control over how methodology evolves as standards update and the ability to expose the workings to customers and auditors instead of hiding it.
