Analysis of Toolkiya

Overall verdict

  • Toolkiya appears to be a free online toolkit site offering various utility tools (such as converters, calculators, and generators) that can be useful for quick, everyday tasks, though it may lack the depth or advanced features of specialized paid tools.

Why this product is good

  • Offers a range of free tools in one place, reducing need for multiple apps or sites
  • No cost to use, making it accessible for casual or one-off tasks
  • Web-based, so no downloads or installations required
  • Simple interface suitable for users who need quick results without a learning curve

Recommended for

  • Casual users needing quick access to basic utilities
  • Students or professionals looking for free, no-frills conversion or calculation tools
  • People who prefer web-based tools over installing dedicated software
  • Users with occasional, simple tool needs rather than advanced or specialized functionality

Analysis of CodeHerald

Overall verdict

  • CodeHerald appears to be a niche or lesser-known platform, and there is insufficient verified public information available to make a confident, evidence-based assessment of its quality, reliability, or reputation.

Why this product is good

  • Limited publicly available reviews, ratings, or independent coverage to verify claims
  • No substantial user feedback or track record found across common review platforms
  • Lack of transparency around company details, ownership, or business history makes due diligence difficult
  • Without verifiable information, potential risks (billing, service quality, support) cannot be ruled out

Recommended for

  • Users who first conduct thorough independent research, including checking domain age, business registration, and recent user reviews
  • Those comfortable testing new or unverified services with minimal financial or data risk
  • Not recommended for users seeking an established, well-reviewed solution without additional verification

Questions & Answers

As answered by people managing Toolkiya and CodeHerald.

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

Toolkiya's answer

No file uploads (100% private), no account needed, no daily limits, and no paywalls. Competitors like SmallPDF give you 2 free conversions then ask you to pay. Toolkiya has zero restrictions. It also includes AI features like resume rewriting and an AI assistant at no cost.

What's the story behind your product?

Toolkiya's answer

Built as a solo side project in India on a budget under $25/month. I was frustrated that every free tool site had hidden limits or uploaded my files. So I built one where everything processes locally in the browser. Started with 10 PDF tools, now at 85+ covering PDF, image, AI, developer, and document tools.

How would you describe the primary audience of your product?

Toolkiya's answer

Students, freelancers, small business owners, and developers who need quick online tools daily โ€” compress a PDF, resize an image, generate an invoice, format JSON โ€” without paying for subscriptions or uploading sensitive files to third-party servers.

Which are the primary technologies used for building your product?

Toolkiya's answer

Next.js 16 (App Router), TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, shadcn/ui, pdf-lib, pdfjs-dist, Tesseract.js for OCR, Web Audio API, Canvas API. Hosted on Vercel. AI powered by OpenRouter free models with Gemini and Groq fallback.

Who are some of the biggest customers of your product?

Toolkiya's answer

  • Students using rent receipt and resume builder for job applications
    • Freelancers generating invoices with logo and signature
    • Developers using JSON formatter, regex tester, and JWT decoder daily
    • Small businesses creating salary slips, bills, and receipts
    • Content creators compressing images and making QR codes

What makes your product unique?

Toolkiya's answer

Everything runs in your browser. Unlike iLovePDF or SmallPDF, your files are never uploaded to any server. Plus there are no usage limits, no signup, and no
premium tier โ€” all 85+ tools are completely free.
