Questions & Answers

As answered by people managing Toolflux.app and SimpleX.

Which are the primary technologies used for building your product?

Toolflux.app's answer

Astro for static-first rendering, TypeScript across the codebase and Svelte for each tool's logic, which runs client-side: calculations happen in the user's browser, no inputs sent to any server.

What makes your product unique?

Toolflux.app's answer

Toolflux pairs every utility with a built-in explainer. The password generator shows entropy in bits, not just a "strong / weak" badge. The hash generator visualises the avalanche effect when you flip an input bit. The JWT decoder runs a pitfall check. It also covers DACH-specific calculators - German hourly rates, gross/net salary, VAT, working days - that English-first multi-tool sites tend to skip. Every tool runs entirely in the browser; inputs never leave the device.

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

Toolflux.app's answer

Three reasons: 1. every tool comes with an explainer, so users leave a better understanding, not just holding a result. 2. The catalogue includes DACH-specific finance calculators (Stundensatz, Brutto-Netto, Mehrwertsteuer, Arbeitstage) that most English-first multi-tool sites either don't have or hide behind login walls. 3. Everything runs in the browser without an install or account โ€” open Toolflux on any device, and use it immediately.

How would you describe the primary audience of your product?

Toolflux.app's answer

Developers reaching for a quick utility: JSON formatter, Base64 encoder, JWT decoder, UUID generator, hash generator, crontab generator. And freelancers / self-employed users in the German-speaking market who need calculators that mainstream tools skip: hourly rate, gross/net salary, VAT, working days. Both groups share the same expectation: open the page, get the work done, leave. No signup, no install.

What's the story behind your product?

Toolflux.app's answer

Toolflux launched on April 21, 2026 as a 30-day build challenge in Germany: one new utility per day, each paired with an explainer, all running in the browser. The DACH focus is deliberate โ€” German-language calculators (hourly rates, gross/net salary, VAT, working days) usually live on sites with poor explanations or behind login walls. After the iniital build phase, the cadence settles into new tools every week, same approach. Toolflux runs self-funded with no external investors; every launch is logged publicly on X @toolflux and Bluesky @toolflux.bsky.social so anyone can follow for updates.
