3.The only way I've come across to document the amount of time spent is to use timesheets or time tracking softwares. Some examples of time tracking softwares are Toggl, Hubstaff, and Time Doctor. Also, if you promote the other sites you have with ads to each other like I do then it works really well too. I am not a designer at all but create my own animated HTML5 ads to promote things and also sometime actually create the ads for the companies that buy space.
