Not completely sure about your situation but if you choose the "buy now, pay later" option you could have a 21 day test period so you can see if it works for you. Personally, it seems it would fit you perfectly and if the S pen doesn't have the same notification feature you can use a tile to keep track of it if it's ever lost. I hope this helped! Don't do bootcamp. Start with something like https://freecodecamp.org and take a few lessons. Try to build something from that and see how motivated you are. If you see some progress and this thing still excites you, then may be find an engineer (a friend/co worker etc) who can guide you a bit as you continue to build something.
