Questions & Answers

As answered by people managing Think Python and TestMyFace.

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

TestMyFace's answer:

Other face shape detectors give you a label and some generic numbers. Test My Face gives you a written explanation of your facial proportions and personalized recommendations you can actually use. The analysis reads like advice from a stylist, not a spreadsheet of pixel measurements. It also works on any device, runs in seconds, and never stores your photos.

What makes your product unique?

TestMyFace's answer:

Most face shape tools run basic pixel measurements and spit out a shape name. Test My Face uses AI vision to write a personalized natural-language analysis of your face, explaining why you have a particular shape and giving specific style recommendations for makeup. No signup, no account, completely free.

How would you describe the primary audience of your product?

TestMyFace's answer:

Women aged 18-65 in the US interested in beauty, skincare, and personal styling. People searching for their face shape, or the right makeup, or contouring technique for their face shape. Anyone curious about what face shape they have and what looks suit them best.

What's the story behind your product?

TestMyFace's answer:

We noticed that every face shape tool online gives the same low-quality output: pixel measurements and percentage bars that mean nothing to a regular person. We built Test My Face to give people an actual useful answer, written in plain language with makeup and skincare recommendations they can use right away. It's free because we believe everyone should be able to figure out what suits them without paying for a consultation.

Which are the primary technologies used for building your product?

TestMyFace's answer:

AI vision analysis powered by large language models, serverless cloud architecture, and a static frontend built with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Photos are processed in real-time through an AI API and never stored

Who are some of the biggest customers of your product?

TestMyFace's answer:

  • Women looking for the right contouring and blush placement for their face shape
  • People researching skincare routines matched to their skin type
  • Makeup enthusiasts figuring out which techniques work for their specific facial proportions
  • Beauty shoppers looking for personalized product recommendations
