DocVeil detects and permanently redacts sensitive information in PDF, JPG, and PNG files entirely in the browser โ€” nothing is uploaded to a server.

The detection engine covers emails, international phone numbers, IBANs, payment cards, IP addresses, URLs, custom phrases, and national identifiers across many countries. Checksum-backed formats are validated algorithmically; ambiguous numeric formats require nearby document labels to reduce false positives.

Redaction is permanent, not a visual overlay: approved pages are rendered, redactions are applied to the pixels, and a fresh PDF is created without the original text layer, metadata, comments, or attachments.

DocVeil is currently a free public beta. Users should review every OCR suggestion and manual redaction before sharing an exported file โ€” automated detection assists review, it does not replace it.
