   Has almost everything I need

   I've started using this as my main IDE for new projects when I'm trying things out. If it keeps getting better at the rate it has been, it'll be even better than coding locally.

   Competitors: replit

   Pros:    Easy to get started and operate|Fast|Supports common extensions|Works with most npm packages

   Cons:    Still not as good as local development|Can be hard to debug|Build times can be slower than local

  The reason which made me curious in the first place was that I could not compile a document successfully which, however, was possible on my Windows machine where I have installed texlive using the online installer of tug.org. After a painful and long and painful investigation I finally installed texlive using the installer from tug.org and et-voila: it worked. Source: over 4 years ago
