tapurl.io is an early-stage product used by independent affiliate marketers, media buyers and indie developers. We're onboarding early users now and will share named case studies as customers opt in to be featured.

What makes your product unique?

Most link tools force a choice: a basic shortener that just counts clicks, or an expensive enterprise tracker. tapurl.io puts the tracking marketers actually need on a free-forever core. The standout: a single short link can send each visitor to a different destination based on country and device, A/B-test offers against each other, and fire S2S postbacks to your CPA network — with SubID tracking and a REST API built in. Guest links and QR codes need no signup.

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

Compared to Bitly or Rebrandly, tapurl gives you affiliate-grade tracking without the enterprise price tag. Geo/device routing, A/B split-testing, SubID tracking and server-to-server postbacks are core features, not paywalled add-ons, and the free-forever plan covers real usage rather than a short trial. Every link comes with a QR code, and a REST API lets you automate everything. If you just need a quick short link, guest mode works with no account.

At the same time, the free no-signup shortener and QR generator serve a broader audience of creators, small businesses and developers who just want a fast, reliable short link.

What's the story behind your product?

tapurl.io started from a simple frustration: every link tool was either too dumb (shorten a URL, count clicks, done) or too expensive (enterprise trackers priced for big media-buying teams). There was no clean middle for an independent marketer who needed real routing and postbacks without an enterprise contract. So we built one — a shortener where a single link can route, split-test and report back to your CPA network, with a free-forever core so anyone can start.

Which are the primary technologies used for building your product?

tapurl.io's answer

tapurl.io runs on a deliberately lean stack: a Python/FastAPI backend with Redis for fast link resolution and caching, and MySQL for storage. The frontend is server-rendered with htmx instead of a heavy JavaScript framework, which keeps pages fast and light. It's hosted on Hetzner and uses Resend for transactional email. Keeping the stack lean is part of how we sustain a free-forever plan.
