Questions & Answers

As answered by people managing TapCrop and Hypervector.

What makes your product unique?

TapCrop's answer

TapCrop processes everything 100% in your browser โ€” your images never leave your device. Most competitors upload files to their servers, raising privacy concerns. TapCrop also supports true batch processing: crop, resize, compress, watermark and convert hundreds of images at once, not one by one.

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

TapCrop's answer

Unlike TinyPNG or iLoveIMG, TapCrop never uploads your files. Unlike Canva, it handles bulk operations on hundreds of images at once. It's completely free to start with no signup, no watermarks, and no per-image limits.

How would you describe the primary audience of your product?

TapCrop's answer

Social media managers who need images in specific platform sizes, e-commerce sellers processing product photos in bulk, photographers batch-exporting for clients, and anyone who regularly crops or resizes multiple images and wants a fast, free, private tool.

What's the story behind your product?

TapCrop's answer

I was frustrated with the repetitive workflow of cropping images one by one for different social media platforms. Every tool I found either required uploads to a server, charged per image, or couldn't handle batch operations. So I built TapCrop โ€” a privacy-first batch image editor that runs entirely in the browser.

Which are the primary technologies used for building your product?

TapCrop's answer

React, Vite, JavaScript, Canvas API, CSS. Hosted on Vercel. All image processing uses the browser's native API โ€” no server-side processing.

Who are some of the biggest customers of your product?

TapCrop's answer

  • Individual content creators and social media managers
  • Small e-commerce businesses processing product photos
  • Photographers and designers preparing batch exports
  • Students and professionals making ID and passport photos
