  • Getting Tailwind CSS Running in React and Next.js (Without the Headaches)
Tailwind UI is a commercial component library, but even the free examples teach you solid patterns for responsive design and component architecture. I learned a lot just by reading through their example code. - Source: dev.to / 11 months ago
  • Ask HN: Link to interactively learn UI/Typography design
Studying existing component systems is a great starting point. You have to imitate and respect the systems that already exist before you can innovate on new things from scratch. I'd recommend starting by reading, building with, and imitating the most well-known frameworks for some personal projects. You can also find some good Figma projects to get started with on each of these. https://tailwindui.com/. - Source: Hacker News / about 2 years ago

  • Ant Design – the second most popular React UI framework
There's https://tailwindui.com/?ref=top, from the Tailwind CSS people. They come with a "HTML" mode, which I think means no JS. But if you need interactivity, on the web it has to be JS, because that's the only thing that can manipulate the DOM. The alternative would be something like a server-updated Canvas where the UI is done outside of the DOM and not in the client, but even that would need some JS shims just... - Source: Hacker News / about 2 years ago

  • Would like some feedback on my new Oscilloscope music experiment SNOWBOARDING
Cheers. Umm I can try haha (apologies I'm not very smart) basically I traced over an animation using inkscape and exported each frame as an svg, using https://spotify.github.io/coordinator/ I then get get the xy coordinates of the svg and run macros to add the extra code so it is a compatible Json file with the program http://bummsn.de/osc_txt/. This then turns the image into sound :). Source: over 3 years ago
  • Would like some feedback on my new Oscilloscope music experiment SNOWBOARDING
Thanks man :) https://spotify.github.io/coordinator/ I used to manually draw using the oscilloscope graphics editor but found this plots all the x y coordinates of an svg file. Source: over 3 years ago
  • How to create images in Desmos using Epicycles and Fourier Series
Upload the svg file to this website (massive credit to Aliza Aufrichtig who made it), this website will put out equally spaced dots on the curve and you can take out the x,y coordinates. Source: over 4 years ago

  • Utah teapot made from epicycles. Inspired by 3B1B’s video on Fourier series
So after watching the video about Fourier series, I decided to try to make one myself, from scratch. So I drew an svg image in photopea of the Utah Teapot, found 100 regular points using This Amazing Website and chucked it all into an excel spreadsheet to find the coefficients. I then went on to steal adapt some Desmos code to draw the teapot. Worthwhile I think. Source: about 5 years ago
