ExcelBites is a free web app for learning Microsoft Excel formulas through short, gamified lessons. Each lesson takes about five minutes and covers a specific function or technique.
What makes ExcelBites unique is its true multilingual support. Most Excel tutorials online assume you have an English version of Excel. ExcelBites supports four languages — Swedish, Norwegian Bokmål, Danish, and English — using the actual localized function names. Swedish users learn SUMMA and LETARAD,Norwegian users learn SUMMER and FINN.RAD, Danish users learn SUM and LOPSLAG.
The app covers 45 lessons including basic aggregation (SUM, AVERAGE), conditional logic (IF, IFS), lookups (VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH), conditional aggregation (SUMIFS, COUNTIFS), text and date functions, and newer dynamic arrays (LET, SEQUENCE, VSTACK).
Free, no signup required, no ads. Progress is stored locally in the user's browser.

ExcelBites.app's answer:
Most Excel learning resources teach you SUM and VLOOKUP. That's useless if your Excel is set to Swedish and the function is actually called SUMMA. ExcelBites is built around fixing that. The app fully supports Swedish, Norwegian Bokmål, Danish, and English with the real localized function names. A Swedish user learns SUMMA and LETARAD. A Norwegian learns SUMMER and FINN.RAD. The format is short, gamified lessons with XP and streaks, kind of like Duolingo but for spreadsheet formulas.
ExcelBites.app's answer:
Three reasons. It's the only Excel trainer I know of that fully supports Nordic languages with the real local function names. Lessons are 5 minutes, so it fits into a daily habit instead of a weekend study session. And it's free, no signup, no personal data leaving your browser.
ExcelBites.app's answer:
Beginner to intermediate Excel users in Sweden, Norway, and Denmark who find that English tutorials don't match their interface. Also students, junior accountants, and office workers who want to build Excel skills slowly instead of committing to a full course.
ExcelBites.app's answer:
Solo side project. I kept hitting the same wall: I'd find a great Excel tutorial, try to follow along, and realize the function name in the video doesn't exist in my Swedish Excel. ExcelBites started as a small experiment to see if a Duolingo-style format could work for Excel formulas. It grew into 45 lessons across four languages.
ExcelBites.app's answer:
Vite, React, TypeScript, Tailwind, Zustand for state, React Router, Framer Motion. Supabase handles the multiplayer race feature. Hosted on Vercel. PWA with offline support via Workbox.
ExcelBites.app's answer:
ExcelBites is consumer focused and free. The current users are individual learners across Sweden, Norway, Denmark, and the English-speaking world. No enterprise customers yet, but interested in talking to companies that want to onboard staff in their native language. Reach out via the site if that's you.
I use it in all my current projects. It's easy to start and very customisable. Love it so much! I improved the speed of development 2x times by using Tailwind.

eBay: 30+ fields (item specifics, variations, shipping) Each schema is a JSON file defining field names, data types, and validation rules.
