What makes your product unique?

ShadowGuard's answer:

Most competitors either require connecting your social media account to run a check, or give a vague verdict with no real computer vision behind it. ShadowGuard does neither — it's an independent, no-login pre-publish scan that flags the exact timestamped moment carrying risk, scored against TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts thresholds at once.

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

ShadowGuard's answer:

Generic moderation APIs like Sightengine or Amazon Rekognition are built for developers to integrate into their own platforms — you need an API key and code. ShadowGuard is built for the individual creator: drag, drop, and get a plain-language, timestamped report in under a minute, no integration required.

How would you describe the primary audience of your product?

ShadowGuard's answer:

Individual content creators, agencies, and small teams posting short-form video to TikTok, Instagram Reels, or YouTube Shorts who want a quick sanity check before publishing.

Which are the primary technologies used for building your product?

ShadowGuard's answer:

React 19, Vite, Supabase (PostgreSQL, Auth, Edge Functions), and Sightengine's computer-vision API for frame analysis.

What's the story behind your product?

ShadowGuard's answer:

ShadowGuard started from a simple observation: social media moderation is no longer human. Today, it’s driven by ruthless, automated AI systems scanning every frame, OCR text, and audio track.

We saw creators and brands constantly playing a guessing game. They were getting their accounts restricted over false positives or minor policy triggers, completely flying blind. Relying on post-publish analytics felt like checking your parachute after you've already hit the ground.

We built ShadowGuard to level the playing field. It acts as an independent pre-publish diagnostic tool. By using advanced AI to scan video frames and visual signals, we allow creators to see what the algorithms see. We intentionally designed it without OAuth or account linking to ensure complete privacy. ShadowGuard is the tool we wished existed before hitting 'Publish'.
