Questions & Answers

As answered by people managing Supabackup and Hypervector.

What makes your product unique?

Supabackup's answer

It can back up your Supabase database to your Google Drive fully automatically.

How would you describe the primary audience of your product?

Supabackup's answer

The primary audience consists of Supabase developers, Indie Hackers, and small startups who are cost-conscious but security-minded. These are technical users who run their infrastructure on Supabase (often on the free or pro tier) and need a reliable, off-site backup solution without the enterprise price tag. They value data ownership and want the peace of mind that comes with storing their own backups on Google Drive.

What's the story behind your product?

Supabackup's answer

Supabackup was born from a common frustration: while Supabase is an incredible platform, small teams often lack a simple, automated way to secure their data off-site without complex scripts. We realized that many developers were anxious about relying solely on platform-native backups. We decided to build the solution we wanted for ourselvesโ€”a "set it and forget it" tool that automatically pushes encrypted database backups directly to the user's own Google Drive, ensuring total control and ownership of their data.

Which are the primary technologies used for building your product?

Supabackup's answer

Supabacku is built with NextJS. And for the Database, it's using Supabase.

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

Supabackup's answer

There are many reasons to choose Supabackup. We offer a completely free option, so you can start without paying anything. Our paid plans are also very affordable. Most importantly, your database is fully secure because all backups are saved directly to your own Google Drive.
