Questions & Answers

As answered by people managing Subsight and KeePass.

What makes your product unique?

Subsight's answer

Subsight is a lightweight SaaS management platform built specifically for lean startups and SMBs. Unlike heavy enterprise tools that take months to implement, Subsight offers a zero-friction setup via a smart bank statement and CSV importer. We focus on the core essentials, such as automated renewal alerts and shadow IT discovery, without the enterprise price tag or complexity.

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

Subsight's answer

Choose Subsight if you need immediate visibility without a dedicated IT team. While competitors like Zylo focus on procurement services for large US corporations, Subsight is an EU-hosted solution tailored for agile teams. Our $29 Pro plan includes critical features like Slack reminders and license ownership tracking that enterprise rivals often hide behind expensive negotiation contracts.

How would you describe the primary audience of your product?

Subsight's answer

Our primary audience includes Founders, Finance Leads, and Operations Managers at high-growth startups and SMBs. These are teams that have outgrown manual spreadsheets and are losing money to shelfware and surprise renewals. We specifically serve companies with 1 to 100 employees who value speed, simplicity, and cost-efficiency.

Who are some of the biggest customers of your product?

Subsight's answer

Subsight is currently in a closed beta, working closely with a select group of early-stage startups and high-growth SMBs in the EU. These design partners help refine the platform's automated discovery and renewal tracking features before the public launch in Apirl 2026. By focusing on lean teams of 1 to 100 employees, the goal is to ensure the product solves the specific "SaaS waste" challenges faced by modern, agile organizations.

Which are the primary technologies used for building your product?

Subsight's answer

Subsight is built on a high-performance stack optimized for 2026 security and speed. Bubble serves as the core application engine, providing a stable foundation for rapid innovation and consistent reliability. Intelligent subscription tracking is powered by a hybrid Vector Semantic and Lexical matching algorithm combined with OpenAI. This advanced combination ensures that messy or vague bank statement data is accurately categorized against thousands of software vendors. Furthermore, the integration with Postmark guarantees that critical renewal alerts reach every user's inbox without fail.

What's the story behind your product?

Subsight's answer

Subsight was founded in Vilnius, Lithuania, by Petras Nargela, who was tired of the SaaS waste that plagues every growing startup. I saw that available tools were either too simple (spreadsheets) or too complex (enterprise platforms). I built Subsight to be the Goldilocks solution: powerful enough to find every hidden subscription, but simple enough to set up during a coffee break.

The key difference here being that this is two way hashing so passwords can be decrypted. In reality, there are a lot of attack vectors like MITM, event logging or sometimes straight up storing data in plaintext.
