Stockpress is an AI-powered Digital Asset Management (DAM) platform built for marketing, creative, brand, sales, and operations teams that need to organize, search, and share digital content without the complexity of traditional enterprise DAM software.

Organizations use Stockpress to centralize images, videos, documents, design files, presentations, and other digital assets into a single workspace where content is easy to find, collaborate on, and distribute.

AI is built into the platform to automatically tag images and video, identify duplicate files, recognize people across large photo libraries, and power natural language search โ€” including on-screen text, scanned text, and spoken words โ€” so teams can find content by what's actually in it, not just its filename. Stockpress also includes AI-powered image editing, with background removal and generation, foreground isolation, upscaling, and image extension. Teams spend less time searching for and prepping files, and more time creating content.

Stockpress includes customizable metadata, Collections, Smart Collections that populate based on rules, version control, role-based permissions, approval workflows, secure share links, guest uploads, reporting, and integrations with tools including Adobe Photoshop and InDesign, Figma, Shopify, Slack, and Webflow.

Unlike many traditional Digital Asset Management platforms, Stockpress includes unlimited users on every paid plan, allowing organizations to provide secure access across marketing, creative, sales, partners, agencies, and external collaborators without paying per-user licensing fees.

Stockpress is designed for organizations that want enterprise-grade Digital Asset Management capabilities while remaining simple to implement, easy to use, and affordable to scale.

socketify.py features and specs

  • High Performance
Socketify.py is designed for high scalability and performance, leveraging an efficient event loop and native extensions to handle a large number of concurrent connections efficiently.
  • WebSocket Support
The library provides built-in support for WebSockets, making it suitable for real-time applications where persistent connections between client and server are necessary.
  • Asynchronous I/O
Socketify.py is built on top of asynchronous I/O paradigms, allowing non-blocking operations that can improve the throughput of networked applications.
  • Ease of Use
The library offers a clean and straightforward API with examples and documentation, which lowers the barrier to entry for developers who are new to network programming in Python.
  • Python Integration
Being a Python library, socketify.py integrates well with existing Python applications and can be included as part of larger, multi-component systems.

Possible disadvantages of socketify.py

  • Limited Adoption
As a relatively new or niche library, socketify.py might have a smaller user base and community compared to more established frameworks like Flask or Django, which could result in fewer community resources and third-party integrations.
  • Learning Curve
For developers who are accustomed to synchronous programming paradigms, adapting to the asynchronous programming model of socketify.py may require an initial learning investment.
  • Documentation Depth
While there is documentation, it might not be as extensive or comprehensive as those of more mature libraries, potentially requiring more experimentation or source code reading to fully grasp advanced features.
  • Potential Stability Issues
Being less established, there might be undiscovered bugs or stability issues in production environments compared to long-standing Python networking libraries.
  • Ecosystem Limitations
The library might lack some of the extensive third-party plugins or tools available in more popular frameworks, which could limit its extensibility.

Questions & Answers

As answered by people managing Stockpress and socketify.py.

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

Stockpress's answer

Most teams don't switch DAM platforms because of one standout feature โ€” they switch because of what they stop dealing with. Stockpress removes the per-seat pricing that punishes growth, the months-long implementation that other platforms require, and the slow support that makes small problems drag on. It offers the same core capabilities as pricier competitors โ€” AI tagging, facial recognition, version control, guest uploads โ€” at a fraction of the cost, with every plan including unlimited users. Teams can be up and running the same day they sign up, with no IT project or consultant needed. And based on verified G2 reviews, Stockpress is consistently rated among the best for support and ease of setup โ€” the two things that matter most once a team has actually made the switch.

What makes your product unique?

Stockpress's answer

Stockpress stands out by delivering enterprise-level DAM features โ€” AI-powered tagging, facial recognition, version control, and visual search โ€” at a fraction of the cost of platforms like Brandfolder or Bynder, with plans starting at $99/month. Unlike most competitors, every plan includes unlimited users, so teams don't have to budget around per-seat pricing as they grow. Setup is fast: most teams are live the same day they sign up, without an IT project or implementation partner. Stockpress is also consistently recognized on G2 for Best Support and Users Most Likely to Recommend, reflecting a level of responsiveness that's uncommon at this price point.

How would you describe the primary audience of your product?

Stockpress's answer

Stockpress's primary audience is small to mid-sized teams and organizations that manage a meaningful volume of digital content โ€” images, video, brand assets, campaign files โ€” but don't have the budget or internal IT resources that enterprise DAM platforms assume. This spans marketing and creative teams, brand managers, and agencies managing assets across multiple clients, as well as nonprofits, universities, and manufacturers who need to organize and share content across distributed or non-technical teams. What unites them isn't industry so much as a shared set of constraints: they need a DAM that's fast to set up without an IT project, doesn't penalize them for adding more people as they grow, and comes with support they can actually reach โ€” priorities that matter more to them than the deepest, most complex feature set on the market.

What's the story behind your product?

Stockpress's answer

Stockpress was founded in 2018 in Boston by four creatives โ€” Jessica Storry, Ian Parkes, Bartosz Romanowski, and Kamila Romanowska โ€” after spending over a decade running a digital development agency and growing frustrated with juggling multiple platforms just to collaborate on files with freelancers and clients. A project with a large sports media organization introduced them to enterprise Digital Asset Management technology and revealed both its power and its complexity: DAM had the features file-sharing tools like Dropbox lacked, but the cost and implementation time put it out of reach for most teams. So in 2018, they set out to build the tool they felt was missing โ€” one that combined real DAM capabilities with the simplicity of everyday file sharing, unlimited users on every plan, and a price tag that didn't punish teams for growing.

Who are some of the biggest customers of your product?

Stockpress's answer

Some of Stockpress's most recognizable customers include McLaren, the Formula 1 team and luxury automotive manufacturer; Rockstar Energy, one of the world's leading energy drink brands; and Popeyes, one of the largest fast food chicken chains globally with thousands of locations worldwide. Beyond these global brands, Stockpress is also used by well-known organizations like The World's Strongest Man and international nonprofits such as Water For People and Virunga National Park, reflecting its adoption across a wide range of industries and organization sizes.

  • This is how I started the development of the fastest ASGI and WSGI Server in TechEmPower Benchmarks
After starting the project called socketify.py at https://github.com/cirospaciari/socketify.py, I got pretty good results and reviews, but many people asked if socketify.py could be used to create a WSGI and ASGI server. WSGI and ASGI have a lot of overhead, that's is why I choose not to use them in the first place, but adding an ASGI and WSGI server allows a lot of code already written to run faster!
