Steamboat.app's answer
Steamboat tracks a layer of the AI story most tools ignore: leverage. Instead of just showing whether a stock looks expensive, it pulls capex, free cash flow, and lease commitment data straight from SEC filings for 29 companies, hyperscalers, chipmakers, neoclouds, data center REITs, power utilities, and turns it into a documented "Bubble Pressure Index" per company. It also tracks the actual named financing vehicles behind the AI boom (like Meta's Beignet SPV), which isn't organized anywhere else in one place.
Steamboat.app's answer
Most financial data platforms (Bloomberg, Koyfin, Simply Wall St) are generalists, they cover everything, which means AI infrastructure leverage specifically gets buried. Steamboat is a focused lens on exactly one question: how much of the AI buildout is riding on debt vs. real cash flow. It's also far cheaper than institutional-grade terminals, and every input is sourced transparently from public filings, not a black box.
Steamboat.app's answer
Independent financial advisors and boutique research firms who need defensible, source-backed answers for clients asking about AI exposure, individual investors trying to understand AI-sector risk without reading filings themselves, and finance content creators/writers looking for citable data instead of speculation.
Steamboat.app's answer
I kept seeing the same "is AI a bubble?" debate everywhere, all opinion, no numbers. So instead of reading another hot take, I decided to pull the actual SEC filings myself and see what the real capex, cash flow, and debt picture looked like. That turned into Steamboat, a solo-built project that's now a real product, and my first time building and launching something like this from scratch.
Steamboat.app's answer
Next.js (frontend, deployed on Vercel), FastAPI (backend, deployed on Railway), PostgreSQL, Clerk (authentication), Stripe and RevenueCat (billing), Resend (email), and Alpha Vantage plus SEC EDGAR for underlying financial data.
Steamboat.app's answer
Steamboat just launched and is currently focused on early adopters, independent financial advisors, individual investors, and finance writers who want a clearer, filings-based read on AI infrastructure risk. Happy to update this as real customer stories come in.
