  • Newer Platform
As a relatively newer platform, Render might lack some of the extensive features and integrations that more established cloud service providers offer.
  • Support

  1. They charged me $99 without permission as they saved my credit card on the system!

    Red flags on this!!

They charge the credit card for the trial offer even when you do not use it or claim it.

I ordered something, and they offered 14 days trial for the vault, which wasn't used or claimed, and they charged me $99 without permission.

Unpleasant experience, and I wouldn't recommend using it, and customer service is awful.

Diploi as an Alternative to Render
Render is for developers and teams who need a cloud hosting solution for production applications. You can choose to deploy web services, APIs, background workers, static sites, and databases. Render is a good fit if you require more scalability or separation of concerns, for example, running multiple microservices, dedicated background job workers, or scheduling cron tasks.

  • How Armano HR Software lifetime subscription Boosts Startup ROI?
The lifetime subscription provides cost-effective HR solutions by removing recurring fees. Therefore, teams pay once and avoid monthly renewals. Subscriptions have historically started at $49.99 (MSRP $432), which offers strong long-term value; see current offers at https://stacksocial.com. Because employee data security matters, Armano uses standard safeguards and practices. For recommended security controls,... - Source: dev.to / 10 months ago

  • Is there any good VPN that never shows up on the dock and only shows up on the menu bar besides Mullvad?
Windscribe fits your description. It has a setting to show up in the Dock, Menu Bar, or both. I've been happy with the speed, but I only have 100mbps internet. You can find a discounted Windscribe subscription on https://stacksocial.com (that's where I got it). Source: about 3 years ago

  • I generated 207 MCP tools from an OpenAPI spec. Generating them was the easy part.
I wanted neither, so I built render-useful-mcp: an MCP server for Render where every API tool is generated from Render's own OpenAPI document. All 207 endpoints, no curation. - Source: dev.to / 24 days ago
  • Seven Free Node.js Hosting Platforms Worth Trying in 2026
Render offers a free web service tier for Node applications, with 512 MB of memory and 0.1 CPU, that spins down after 15 minutes of inactivity and cold-starts on the next request. Deploys are Git-driven, native runtimes handle most Node versions without a Dockerfile, one-click rollback works on all tiers, and preview environments are available with their own resource billing. - Source: dev.to / about 1 month ago
  • Best alternatives to Heroku in 2026
Render is the closest structural match to Heroku on this list. It's built around web services, background workers, static sites, cron jobs, and managed Postgres and Redis, which maps almost one-to-one onto a Procfile plus Heroku add-ons. Buildpack-style auto-detection handles most language runtimes without a Dockerfile, and preview environments and one-click rollback exist out of the box. - Source: dev.to / about 1 month ago
  • Why Vercel is still my default for shipping frontend projects
The other limitation is compute. Vercel Functions can handle APIs, server-rendered routes, streaming, and other request-driven tasks, and the current function limits are far more generous. But if your application requires a continuously running background process or custom Docker containers, Vercel isn't the right fit. There are platforms like Render or Northflank that are built for that kind of workload. Vercel... - Source: dev.to / about 1 month ago
  • How to Get Your First Tool Online
A host: A host is really just a computer that stays powered on and connected to the internet with a public address of its own. When a visitor types in the app's address, their browser sends a request across the internet to that machine, the machine runs the code, and it sends the finished page back. A laptop was quietly doing both jobs during the build, the server and the only visitor allowed in; a host is that... - Source: dev.to / about 2 months ago
