VibeLing is a vocabulary learning app that helps you learn foreign words and phrases from the content you actually enjoy โ€” movies, TV shows, songs, books, podcasts, and articles.

Add any word or phrase, and VibeLing automatically creates everything you need to remember it:

  • Accurate translations
  • AI-generated examples in context
  • Pronunciation audio
  • Spaced-repetition reviews
  • Personalized vocabulary collections

Instead of memorizing random word lists, you build your own vocabulary from real situations and learn complete phrases in context. The spaced-repetition system schedules reviews at the right time, helping you move new vocabulary into long-term memory.

VibeLing is suitable for language learners who want a flexible alternative to traditional flashcards and pre-made courses.

The app is available on iOS and Android. You can add and learn an unlimited number of words for free, while VibeLing Pro provides an ad-free experience.

Questions & Answers

As answered by people managing StackBlitz and VibeLing.app.

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

VibeLing.app's answer:

VibeLing combines the flexibility of flashcard apps with the convenience of an AI-powered language-learning tool.

Unlike traditional courses, it does not force users to follow a fixed curriculum. Unlike manual flashcard tools, it does not require them to create translations, examples, and audio by themselves.

Key advantages include:

  • Learn words and complete phrases from real content
  • Automatically generated translations, examples, and audio
  • Built-in spaced-repetition training
  • No complicated flashcard setup
  • A personalized vocabulary instead of generic lessons
  • Available on both iOS and Android

What makes your product unique?

VibeLing.app's answer:

VibeLing turns vocabulary from real content into personalized language-learning exercises.

Users can add words and phrases they discover in movies, TV shows, books, songs, podcasts, or everyday conversations. VibeLing then automatically creates:

  • A translation
  • Contextual AI-generated examples
  • Pronunciation audio
  • Spaced-repetition reviews

Instead of studying generic word lists, users build a personal vocabulary based on content that is genuinely relevant to them.

How would you describe the primary audience of your product?

VibeLing.app's answer:

VibeLing is designed for language learners who already encounter foreign words in real life but need a convenient way to save, understand, and remember them.

The primary audience includes:

  • People learning through movies, TV shows, books, songs, and podcasts
  • Intermediate learners who want to expand their active vocabulary
  • Students preparing for travel, work, study, or relocation
  • Expats and international professionals
  • Learners who find traditional flashcard creation too time-consuming
  • People looking for a simpler alternative to Anki

What's the story behind your product?

VibeLing.app's answer:

VibeLing started from a common problem: while learning a language, we constantly discovered useful words and phrases in movies, TV shows, books, and conversations, but rarely remembered them later.

Creating flashcards manually took too much time. Each card required a translation, examples, pronunciation, and a review schedule. As a result, many useful expressions were saved in notes and never studied.

We created VibeLing to automate this process. A user only needs to add a word or phrase, and the app prepares the learning materials and schedules future reviews.

The goal is to make vocabulary learning feel connected to the content people already enjoy rather than to generic word lists.

Which are the primary technologies used for building your product?

VibeLing.app's answer:

VibeLing is built using modern mobile, web, and AI technologies.

The primary technologies include:

  • React Native for the iOS and Android applications
  • TypeScript for reliable and maintainable development
  • Next.js for the VibeLing website and web content
  • AI language models for translations and contextual examples
  • Text-to-speech technology for pronunciation audio
  • Cloud-based services for synchronization, analytics, and subscription management
  • A spaced-repetition system for scheduling personalized reviews

Who are some of the biggest customers of your product?

VibeLing.app's answer:

VibeLing is primarily a consumer language-learning app, so we do not publish a list of individual customers.

Its users include:

  • Independent language learners
  • Students
  • Expats and travelers
  • International professionals
  • Teachers and their students
  • People learning languages through movies, books, podcasts, and other real content

  • RS-X: Framework-agnostic reactive state and expressions for JavaScript/TS
Managing reactive state and dependent computations in JavaScript can get complex, especially when combining asynchronous and synchronous data. RS-X is a library that allows you to bind expressions to plain objects and makes the parts of the model used by those expressions fully reactive. Dependent computations automatically update when the underlying data changes. RS-X is framework-agnostic. While it can drive UI... - Source: Hacker News / 6 months ago

Solv's main idea is that stateless servers keep client's state in a volatile cache. It enables server components that are also interactive, which is best of both worlds between LiveView and htmx.
