Rolloff Amigo is dispatch, bin tracking, and invoicing software purpose-built for roll-off dumpster hauling companies with 1โ€“20 trucks. Unlike enterprise tools that require sales calls and annual contracts, Rolloff Amigo lets you sign up and dispatch your first job in under 5 minutes.

The platform is mobile-first โ€” owners and drivers run everything from their phones. Drivers see their jobs, tap to navigate, and mark completions. Owners see every job, every bin, and every invoice in real time.

Key differentiators: - Free forever plan for owner-operators (not a trial โ€” full dispatch, tracking, and invoicing at $0/month) - The only roll-off software with full bilingual support (English and Spanish) for drivers, dispatchers, and customer-facing invoices - Self-serve signup โ€” no sales calls, no onboarding sessions, no demo required - Mobile-first design โ€” not a desktop app with a mobile add-on - No contracts โ€” Pro plan is $99/month, cancel anytime

StackBlitz features and specs

  • Speed
StackBlitz is known for its quick load times and fast editing capabilities, making it ideal for rapid development and testing.
  • Ease of Use
The interface is intuitive and user-friendly, allowing developers to get started quickly without a steep learning curve.
  • Zero-Setup
Users can write, compile, and run code directly in the browser without any setup or configuration required.
  • Integrations
StackBlitz integrates seamlessly with GitHub, allowing for easy import and export of repositories.
  • WebContainers
StackBlitz uses WebContainers to run Node.js applications in the browser, providing a near-native development experience.
  • Collaboration
Real-time collaboration features allow multiple users to work on the same project simultaneously, similar to Google Docs.

Possible disadvantages of StackBlitz

  • Limited Plugins
Unlike traditional IDEs like VSCode or IntelliJ, StackBlitz has a limited ecosystem of plugins and extensions.
  • Online Dependency
StackBlitz requires an internet connection to function, which can be a limitation for developers who need to work offline.
  • Performance
For very large projects or those requiring extensive computational resources, performance may degrade compared to local development environments.
  • Mobile Accessibility
While StackBlitz is accessible on mobile devices, the user experience is not as optimized as it is on desktop browsers.
  • Limited Framework Support
Although StackBlitz supports many popular frameworks, it doesn't support all frameworks or versions, which could be limiting for some projects.
  • Storage and Persistence
Files and data are stored in the cloud, which might raise concerns around data privacy and persistence for some users.

Rolloff Amigo features and specs

  • Industry-Specific Software
Rolloff Amigo is purpose-built for the roll-off dumpster and waste hauling industry, meaning its features are tailored to the specific workflows of dispatching, scheduling, and tracking dumpster rentals rather than being a generic field service tool.
  • Dispatch and Scheduling Tools
The platform offers dispatch and route scheduling capabilities designed to help haulers manage driver assignments, pickups, and deliveries more efficiently, which can reduce missed pickups and improve daily operations.
  • Customer Management Features
It includes tools for managing customer information, order history, and communication, helping small to mid-sized hauling businesses keep track of client relationships in one centralized system.
  • Billing and Invoicing Capabilities
Rolloff Amigo provides billing and invoicing functionality that can help businesses automate parts of the payment collection process, reducing manual paperwork and improving cash flow tracking.
  • Designed for Small to Mid-Size Haulers
The software appears tailored toward smaller roll-off companies, offering a potentially more affordable and simpler alternative to enterprise-level waste management software that may be overly complex for smaller operations.

Possible disadvantages of Rolloff Amigo

  • Limited Public Information
There is relatively little publicly available detailed information, user reviews, or case studies about Rolloff Amigo compared to more established competitors, making it harder for prospective customers to evaluate its real-world performance.
  • Niche Market Risk
Because it serves a narrow niche (roll-off dumpster rental businesses), the company may have a smaller user base and development team, which could affect the pace of updates, feature requests, and long-term product support.
  • Potential Integration Limitations
As a smaller, specialized platform, it may have fewer integrations with popular accounting, GPS tracking, or payment processing systems compared to larger, more established field service management software.
  • Uncertain Customer Support Track Record
Without extensive third-party reviews, it's difficult to gauge the responsiveness and quality of customer support, which is critical for businesses relying on the software for daily dispatch operations.
  • Possible Learning Curve for Non-Standard Workflows
Businesses with unique or highly customized operational workflows may find that Rolloff Amigo's structured approach doesn't fully align with their existing processes, requiring adaptation or workarounds.

Analysis of Rolloff Amigo

Overall verdict

  • Rolloff Amigo appears to be a dumpster rental marketplace/broker service that connects customers with local roll-off dumpster providers, but I don't have verified, up-to-date information confirming its current reliability, pricing competitiveness, or customer satisfaction levels, so I can't fully vouch for its quality without direct evidence.

Why this product is good

  • Claims to simplify dumpster rental by comparing multiple local providers in one place
  • Potentially saves time by aggregating quotes rather than calling individual companies
  • May offer convenience for one-time or infrequent renters unfamiliar with local waste haulers
  • Online platform suggests easier booking and scheduling compared to traditional phone-based rental

Recommended for

  • Homeowners tackling renovation or cleanup projects needing a temporary dumpster
  • People unfamiliar with local dumpster rental companies who want quick comparisons
  • Contractors seeking a fast way to source rental options in unfamiliar service areas
  • Users who prioritize convenience and are willing to verify pricing and provider reviews independently before committing

  1. Has almost everything I need

I've started using this as my main IDE for new projects when I'm trying things out. If it keeps getting better at the rate it has been, it'll be even better than coding locally.

All applications created on StackBlitz also get deployed automatically on their servers! So, this Angular toy app I just created is hosted automatically on https://angular-yvyi2j.stackblitz.io/. Most likely, the URL is still working (will load slowly, though, as youโ€™d expect when hosted for free)!

  • RS-X: Framework-agnostic reactive state and expressions for JavaScript/TS
Managing reactive state and dependent computations in JavaScript can get complex, especially when combining asynchronous and synchronous data. RS-X is a library that allows you to bind expressions to plain objects and makes the parts of the model used by those expressions fully reactive. Dependent computations automatically update when the underlying data changes. RS-X is framework-agnostic. While it can drive UI... - Source: Hacker News / 6 months ago
  • Show HN: I combine Htmx, LiveView and SolidJS for interactive server components
I like htmx, LiveView, React and Solid. They are great at different points, so I try to combine them in Solv (Stateless Offline-capable LiveView) and write a prototype to show the benefits. Solv's main idea is that stateless servers keep client's state in a volatile cache. It enables server components that are also interactive, which is best of both worlds between LiveView and htmx. Then fine-grained reactivity is... - Source: Hacker News / 9 months ago
  • Show HN: Solv โ€“ Stateless Offline-Capable LiveView โ€“ Prototype 03
I like htmx, LiveView, React and Solid. They are great at different points, and this is a prototype trying to combine them. Solv's main idea is that stateless servers keep client's state in a volatile cache. It enables server components that are also interactive, which is best of both worlds between LiveView and htmx. Then fine-grained reactivity is added to achieve efficient DOM updates + minimal payload size.... - Source: Hacker News / 9 months ago
