I've started using this as my main IDE for new projects when I'm trying things out. If it keeps getting better at the rate it has been, it'll be even better than coding locally.
Based on our record, StackBlitz seems to be a lot more popular than emacs-slack. While we know about 112 links to StackBlitz, we've tracked only 3 mentions of emacs-slack. Managing reactive state and dependent computations in JavaScript can get complex, especially when combining asynchronous and synchronous data. RS-X is a library that allows you to bind expressions to plain objects and makes the parts of the model used by those expressions fully reactive. Dependent computations automatically update when the underlying data changes. RS-X is framework-agnostic. While it can drive UI... - Source: Hacker News / 5 months ago
I like htmx, LiveView, React and Solid. They are great at different points, so I try to combine them in Solv (Stateless Offline-capable LiveView) and write a prototype to show the benefits. Solv's main idea is that stateless servers keep client's state in a volatile cache. It enables server components that are also interactive, which is best of both worlds between LiveView and htmx. Then fine-grained reactivity is... - Source: Hacker News / 8 months ago

Emacs (which can be run in the terminal using the "-nw" option) has a slack package -- I dipped my toes in and noped out quickly, as I found it too difficult and too ugly compared to using the app: https://github.com/yuya373/emacs-slack I've tried to do the same thing: going completely text mode. For me, it was disastrous -- it was a big distraction for me at work, at two jobs. I even left a good job partially so... - Source: Hacker News / over 3 years ago
An emacs slack client maybe: https://github.com/yuya373/emacs-slack? - Source: Hacker News / about 4 years ago
I love the focus the terminal brings, besides the solid benefit of scriptable and automation thatโs not possible with most GUI apps. Iโve recently rediscovered emacs and now use it as my primary tool for development. I already loved working in the terminal for git and xcodebuild so itโs felt natural. Moving editing and workflow into emacs has been great so far. Iโm already customizing things. Even using eshell!... - Source: Hacker News / over 4 years ago
